That was illegal, and the UK Government got its ass sued and paid out as a consequence. You can't ever stop people, including people in power, breaking the law, but you can sometimes follow up when the law has been broken. Trashing people's rights may be popular with the Wail but it ends up costing the taxpayers a shedload.

Cameron has predictably jumped on the bandwagon. Most politicians know Jack about our constitution and care less.
That was my take away from the news too...oh if only we acted sooner (can't we blame the Blairs for that?)

The comments are a pretty sad reflection of our soft approach to these vermin, no wonder UKIP is
stealing a march on the other 'magnolia' parties

It all just seems a faff and somehow a farce for us. Somewhere I have missed his punishment (or not). But then I suppose you have to sit in on all the evidence. I was chatting to a reporter once about a trail and they had to be careful on what was said on a particular case. It was all out in the open for those in the public gallery to hear but it was very gruesome and that was the bit they had to be careful on. The upshot was what we hear on telly is not necessarily the true flavour in court.
Quite. Having sat through thousands of court cases, I know only too well how inaccurate press reporting can be. Which leads to the predicable letter to the paper from Mr Furious, who has believed every word of the report.

The big boys will take it in turns wiping his arse with their cocks.

Abu Handza is no loss at all. I'm busting out a bottle I've had in the fridge since 2002. Cheers!
