Lol, pronounced 'DahVay'. Common surname around Bombay and that state.

Corbyn still leader. Vaz potentially coming back.

Absolutely astounding how out of touch they are with voters.

He was voted in. Yes, they voted him in to be chair of their constituency party. No wonder their local party is in chaos!

I think Keith has learned his lesson and should be given a second chance.
He has been a stalwart of the Labour Party and has much to continue to give.
An experienced politician like Keith will have connections and the ability to communicate on so many levels

That’s terrible. How can that happen.
Vaz and this Tory bloke... have absolutely no shame. Is he not embarrassed enough now just to disappear under a rock for the rest of his life

There are huge differences (although I do the Tory reselection a tad odd).

I'll have to choose my words carefully.

One has admitted wrongdoing, been punished, accepted and undergone that punishment and is in the eyes of the law rehabilitated.

One has not faked illnesses repeatedly to avoid investigation and scrutiny for multiple evidenced transgressions at a far more serious level than a small fine and a bit of community service.

One hasn't been filmed offering to buy Class As for someone else.

One hasn't got a property portfolio that really doesn't seem to match with officially recorded incomes.

One doesn't appear to have fraud engrained in his very being.

Etc.

But (there is always a but)
Both are indicative of an attitude that they DESERVE to be in politics. (if you get me)
It can simply reinforce a view that these people are just in it for themselves

Didn't one put themselves up against others to go through a formal and structured local party election as a parliamentary candidate, and the other go through a "show of hands" unopposed "vote" to attempt to reenter politics via the "back door"?

"Back door" a perhaps unfortunate phrase... Mea culpa.

One supposes some of the voters must have held their noses while slipping the voting paper into the box. Unfortunately there are another five senses to consider. The voters on that panel seem to be deficient in the sense department.
