It's not her father. Or rather, he isn't the man that has been arrested.

ETA Just announced the arrested man is known to the family, but not a relation.

How can you know? Could well be.
Indeed. The dimwittedness of some stuff posted on here beggars belief.

This is so tragic I hope she is found well and unharmed. But hearing the language being used I'm fearfull this will not turn out good.

I know that area well - that river is very rough always flooding those fields shown in the recent coverage. If its a worst case scenario finding her if the river had carried her away would be like a needle in a haystack.

Why do we have such wicked individuals?

It's all a bit strange.

They've arrested a chap, but seemingly don't really know where the girl is or what has happened to her, despite the arrest. He's clearly not admitted to killing her, since the Police have said (since his arrest) that they hope to find her alive.

So sad, Mach is a lovely, quiet place and the locals ae so friendly. I can't see this ending well, reports are that toys have been taken by car through the police cordon and RAF helis and police are searching the banks of the Dyfi with the local searchers being sent home frown

He may be totally innocent. (Doubtful) but I'd totally agree allow the dad to question him CCTV off there could be a chance she is alive but doest have long questioning will not get answers high pain and trauma has a good chance.

Sky have also just said that one of this guys kids was playing with the group that witnessed her abduction and ID'd the van. Used to be a lifeguard at the local rec centre, so kids would kmow him fairly well I suppose. This is getting increasingly dark imho.
If that's true, I'm guessing that "some" people might be attracted to that profession for their own (unhealthy) motives???

Careful now, we don't want another Christopher Jefferies/Joanna Yeates kerfuffle.

Press conference at 21:30. Sounds like no news in that case.
