Nothing much in the press about what's going on with Bridger's kids ? Presume they are not going to school as normal, since they were in her class. Innocent til proven guilty etc, but kids and parents at school gates can be pretty brutal with their taunts etc.
Cant help but feel a little sorry for his kids too.
and this for me is the oddest part of all this. I don;t think there is much case history for killers who kill children the same age as their own.Cant help but feel a little sorry for his kids too.
I don't think he meant to kill her and it was a momoent of madness or idiocy that has gone terribly wrong.
I reckon he has killed her but that was not his intention...
just a gut feeling

so lets get over it and have a good trial to follow as everyone loves a good murder case.
Sorry, I called you a prat before I realised that you are just plain weird - 'probably can't help your deep seated innate unpleasantness. It is in no way unpleaseent to have no emotional attachment to a family i have never met. I sympathise with their situation, but worse things happen every day. I, AND the public, find cases such as this one interesting, if they didnt the papers wouldnt devote so many inches to them and the speculation that goes with it. Internet forums wouldnt be talking about it etc etc etc
its a classic "who dun it" story, with a twist of no body, it has been popular since the dawn of time.

Shame you are trying to derail this thread with unneeded personal attacks on me.

I've left this thread alone for a few days as it seemed to have gone a bit awry but having just had a quick squizz. I'm intrigued to know what the worse things are that happen every day than a young child being abducted and probably murdered?
some guy on the news last night from Syria was talking about how that day his wife and 5 children had been murdered infront of him.. there are hundreds of other examples from many different countries around the world at the moment, that wont get more than a few seconds of news time.. 100 villagers raped and shot here, families blown up there..
We should be thankful we live in relative safety...

One mans triviality is another mans nightmare, people are affected in diferent ways to the same things. For all the tragic things that happen to us and the further away from us they happen the less we feel about them.
Many news stories stir up quite a few emotions depending how they affect you in your own life, like the jim savile story as people who have been victims of abuse will feel more emotion than someone who just remembers him being a tv presenter.
Like watching the tsunami after the earthquake in japan, i was more facinated by the boats and cars flowing over fields than i was for those who were not so lucky.
It's the strangness of these types, of these life changing news that grips a viewer almost like a suspense novel.
A lot of people won't cry for a stranger they have never heard of but they may have a little tear for bambi or even reading Russells thread.

As horrible and tragic as this is, there are even worse things happening every day. Hundreds if not thousands of humans, all with parents/children/family grieving, are maimed, killed or tortured every day in war zones or as a result of terrorism or acts of random violence.z4chris99 said:

It was the nasty, unnecessary and crass remark you included:
"my outlook is whats done is done.. no amount of crying, remorse, witch hunts etc are going to bring her back, so lets get over it and have a good trial to follow as everyone loves a good murder case.

Seems the press have got a bit bored of this story now. Are the police still out there in full force looking for her or have they scaled back the operation?
Once someone has been charged press coverage can influence a case.Just want to throw this one into the mix:
He was attempting to protect someone else by disposing of the body, maybe one of the children playing with her in the street. Wasn't one of his kids there?
I can't see why the CPS would charge someone accused of murder with attempting to pervert justice by disposing of the body, unless they thought there was a good chance that the murder charge won't stick, and the perverting charge is a fall-back.

Don't know. It's a mess and if it isn't a mess it will do until one turns up.He was attempting to protect someone else by disposing of the body, maybe one of the children playing with her in the street. Wasn't one of his kids there?

I am quite sure, in the fullness of time, all will become clearer.

Lying to the police under caution counts as 'perverting the course of justice' though, so if he said anything while being questioned that turned out to be deliberately false, that'd be perversion. Nothing more complex than that.blindswelledrat said:
