I wasn't going to do a poll, but the question seems to lend itself to it, so here we go.
Since it seems like we are having a referendum on Europe at some point, and it's quite likely Britain will be leaving the EU, what arrangements would you like to see for a post EU Britain.
The main two options seem to be either EFTA or simply bilateral agreements with whatever countries we trade with. A couple of people mentioned NAFTA. Any other ideas?

Come on, you know you all want to wind the clock back to Empire, Britannia Rules the Waves, we won the war, 1966, and all the other rose-tinted British dreams.
Ain't gonna happen. Never was. Never will be.
You are delusional. Getting out of a failed experiment has nothing to do with what is ancient history. Ain't gonna happen. Never was. Never will be.

Never was, eh?Ain't gonna happen. Never was. Never will be.
So, Britain never had an empire, the Royal Navy was never the dominant maritime force for much of the nineteenth century, Britain was on the losing side in WW2, and England didn't win the world cup in 1966?

And you are terminally stupid.Wow, that really moved the debate forward.
Back on topic, you guys have your heads buried deep in the sand. Go and visit central London; ride on the tube; visit Oxford St. The UK as you dream of it has ceased to exist. London is a global city and has no alternative but to try to maintain that status. It's the financial capital of EU. Leave the EU and you are left standing proud but holding absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. All the politicians know that. It's only the tabloid readers who still cling on to their dreams.

Wrong again. London is a global financial centre, not the EU financial capital. London, New York and Tokyo are the big three. If anything the EU financial centre is where the ECB is. Leaving the EU would not change Londons status. Do you think Zurich, Switzerland (number 4) is in the EU? Has that harmed it? If you think so, think again.Wow, that really moved the debate forward.

What a bizarre line of argument Ozzie. It seems like you have invented your own version of what eurosceptics want and then decided it won't happen. Where is anyone except you talking about Britannia ruling the waves or winning football tournaments?
Of course it isn't an entirely unfamiliar line of argument either, it is the one used to deride as "little Englanders" anyone who doesn't agree with a federal Europe. It always seems to me to reveal a very narrow view of the world where the only alternative to one brand of wrong headed state worship is another brand of it.

Exactly we are a dynamic economy hence why we don't need eu dictats. They give us our own money back so what is the point. We don't need anymore legislation. Would Germany stop selling us Porsche BMW Audi if we stopped eu contributions? Would they fk. And while we're at it lets control who we let in the country. Uncontrolled immigration isn't clever we need the right kind of people coming in. Wow, that really moved the debate forward.
