Damn, this has caught me at the worst possible time. Due to a household administrative cock-up (I'm reluctant to shoot the perpetrator as I don't beleive in suicide) there's none in the fridge and, worse still, none in the bulk-store freezer.

Can I get to the shops before the price rockets?

We get ours in packets the size of three house bricks from the local cash n carry, much better bacon than the watery see-through stuff supermarkets sell too.

Bulk buy from our local, friendly family butchers. I agree, the supermarket stuff is papp.

Gammon now people, no-one do anything rash, or we'll end up in hock to the bacon suppliers

Seems to be plenty here in Thailand if anyone wants me to post some, £40 a kilo plus shipping ought to cover it.
