Music fans may be familiar with Marina Diamandis, now on tour and excellent live. Check these links, both from Electra Heart http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiRjvejL5D4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9txg0XicoJ0TEEN IDLE I wanna stay inside all day I want the world to go away I want blood, guts and chocolate cake I wanna be a real fake I wish I’d been a teen, teen idle Wish I’d been a prom queen fighting for the title Instead of being sixteen and burning up a bible Feeling super, super (super!) suicidal The wasted years, the wasted youth The pretty lies, the ugly truth And the day has come where I have died Only to find I’ve come alive. FEAR AND LOATHING Got different people inside my head I wonder which one that they like best I'm done with tryin' to have it all And endin' up with not much at all. Don't wanna live in fear and loathing I wanna feel like I am floating Instead of constantly exploding In fear and loathing. And when the time comes along And the lights run out, I know where I will belong When they blow me out.

Anyone genuinely depressed does not produce a styled 8-minute short for YouTube. Except she appears to have killed herself..... Which would indicate (at least to me) that she was pretty depressed?!?

Anyone genuinely depressed does not produce a styled 8-minute short for YouTube. Have you dealt with suicide before? I had 5 people in my school kill themselves in one year, I knew two of them. There's nothing clear cut about suicide or depression.

Anyone genuinely depressed does not produce a styled 8-minute short for YouTube. Yes the video was originally posted 3/4 weeks before she killed herself, a lot of things can change in that time. People show different symptoms when they are depressed some people can be a different person and some people will act normal as they dont want to show people they are weak and are in need of help. Your comment was a bit cold hearted to be honest.

Anyone genuinely depressed does not produce a styled 8-minute short for YouTube. Killing herself was a whole new level of method acting then?

Feel really bad for the girl and her family. Suicide should never be a viable way out for anyone.
I hope those who tormented her have a lot of sleepless nights.

Could they track the person who posted pictures of her topless on social media? As not only was it bullying, but she was underage too so surely that would break laws too?

Don't forget it is easy once you are in a bad place to think suicide is a good solution, I've hovered round that place a couple of times in my life, depression makes everything grey with no point or purpose, and the smiles can be a façade to avoid the f kwits who go cheer up it might never happen etc.

Absolutely heartbreaking, however I can't think she must have had some deeper routed problems than a couple of compromising pictures on Facebook, and a falling out with someone over a boyfriend?
Or am I being naive, having gone to school before such technology existed?

My view too.
People with a propensity to depression are obviously going to take things harder than those with a "water off a duck's back" approach to life.

I went to school with a lad, very pleasant, intelligent, committed suicide about five years after leaving school. A few years later, his sister killed herself, then about ten years later, both his parents committed suicide together. Must have been in the genes, so to speak, but a shame, none-the-less.

I don't find the video at all emotional, but it is a shame that someone who is effectively a child has decided to take their own life. Can't imagine what her family are feeling like.
Having done some reading in other parts of t'internet, there were many images and a couple of videos of her created from her deciding to stream herself on BlogTV. Just goes to show the dangers of letting naive kids on the web.
Discusting behaviour from bullies and whoever created the material, if only they could be brought to justice.
