If only she could have stayed off of facebook....

And YES it is as simple as that, as that is how the stalker/pedo traced her EVERY time she moved.

Never mind the fact she slept with a boy who had a girlfriend...ok you thought he liked you, so you jump into bed with him at 13? Nah...

Sorry, but she isn't completely innocent, not that she should have taken her own life. She just needed some guidance, which nobody seemed to offer...

R.I.P. Amanda. Life isn't all that anyway.

I don't think anyone really said she was totally blameless though. She made a couple of mistakes which most teenagers make in some way or another, and was it seems incredibly harshly punished by her peers for it, while being stalked by a pedophile. You can point to all the personal flaws and parental shortcomings you like, she was still a bright young girl with a family who apparently care a lot for her, and she was driven to kill herself at the age of 15.

Can't speak for anyone else but I find that incredibly sad, whether she had her own flaws or not.

All very true. I'm struggling to get my head round it to be honest. Poor girl.

A cousin of mine committed suicide due to boy troubles. I think im harbouring a lot of anger towards that so may have come across a bit insensitive. It's horrid to think that given time they would have realised what an insignificant period it was.

Absolutely. She didn't start off as anyone out of the ordinary. From what I understand she was a normal, healthy girl before this all started. It's therefore particularly sad/scary that a normal person can be driven to suicide if you push them enough.

As someone said previously its so sad that she didn't realise / believe when someone obviously told her, what an insignificant portion of your life, high school is.

A couple more years and she would have been finished school and most likely just gotten on with a normal life.

If I remember correctly teacher, parents and basically everyone tells you how important school is from about the ages of 10 upwards. They also say things like 'It's the best time of your life'...

When you're in year 5 it's the CAT's that you're told are extremely important. Then in year 7 you're told it's the SATS that are important. Then in year 10 you're told it's the GCSE's that are important. Then in year 11 you're told it's the A-Levels that are important.

It's not until you get out into the real world that you realise a lot of it is meaningless.

Very true, and something that was touched upon in the film 'Elephant' (a fictional portrayal of a Columbine-style killing). Kids are told that to mess up at school means messing up your entire life. It's a lie of course, but for kids who feel they have messed up, sometimes there seems no reason to go on living.

Very true that is said to kids despite a fair bit being bks.

Then again, how do you get kids to take it seriously if you say 'look, don't worry about school it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things'

Depressing how 'be all, end all' it can be taken as.

Some of them comments left are absolutely disgusting & the people leaving such vile rubbish should take a long hard look in the mirror because one day when they do actually grow up, they may regret their actions. Nobody deserves to be treated this way regardless of what she may have done (she is a child ffs) & even some of the comments on here are laughable! She had made a mistake like we all do sometime in our life, she didn't deserve to be treated like a rat!

& as for SD4776677 you need locking up my friend if you purposely searched the internet for her topless photo!

Agree. Everyone makes stupid mistakes as a teenager and I utterly fail to understand the mindset of someone who tries to suggest that her getting her tits out on a webcam is deserving of two years of blackmail, abuse, stalking and harassment leading to her suicide. She was 12, for Christ's sake.

Comments? confused

You mean the single comment by the troll with 27posts and not even a month as a member. Don't let that get in the way of a good rant though.

The ananymous account who posted the video posted one 2days before saying Amanada Todd is a fictional charicter created by the government...

Although if they have provided proof that this Kody guy has been doing what they say so, hats off to them. Even if he wasn't the one who stalked Amanda, he should be hunted down for what he has done.

Anonymous do lots of good things that is scarsely reported, unfortunately the FBI are hunting them down because they upset some powerful people along the way.

the original guy that leaked the picture/blackmailed her with it should be punished.

the people at her school who tormented/bullied her should be punished too.

upsetting story, RIP.
