What?A woman I do not like very much, has a tenuous friendship with the supposed perpetrator. When he landed the role she was crowing on Facebook for weeks about her famous friend. I would imagine if he is guilty she won't be so vocal about her friendship anymore.

Maybe it's that Letitia woman. Frankly who cares? Without wishing to go all high court judge on you, who watches eastenders anyway?

A 17-year-old British television star, who Pappzd cannot name due to legal reasons, has been charged of raping and molesting a 14-year-old boy in July 2010. He would have been sixteen at the time.
So he's 17 now, yet two years ago he was 16?WhereamI said:

About 15,000,000 people in the UK.Seems the Beeb is writing him out of the show very soon and trying to get hs last scenes in the can before this all becomes general knowledge.....
What is it about the Beeb these days.......? Surely someone arrested for these offences should be put straigh on 'garden leave' or something until its all cleared up.....

Well, quite apart from 'innocent until proven guilty', the Beeb does have a duty to ensure that the millions of people of who watch and enjoy this soap are given a show with storylines that run to some sort of logical conclusion, rather than just having a character disappear mid-episode. I'm sure that ITV would do the same with Corrie - but don't let that shake you off the PH anti-BBC bandwagon.
Bear in mind that he isn't guilty at this point, I assume it is okay to say that the above points to it being a little nobody who plays Ben Mitchell (Phils son) in Eastenders apparently.
Note that this by no-means makes him gulty.
I would recommend looking at a picture of him and deciding for yourself. You don't need actual facts once you see his picture

I think the people who watch the show would understand. I agree with the person you replied to, particularly given the current jingly-jangly backdrop I would have thought the last thing the BBC would want is another potential "covered up to suit your broadcasting" argument. Caught the very first episode he appeared in after he replaced the old Ben, and thought he was a wrong 'un, but not in that sort of way.
Haven't watched Eastenders in about two years now and feel much better for it
