Joyce Thacker gone. I think she needs to be stripped of her CBE. And Mereddyd Hughes needs his Queen's Police Medal repossessed too.

Want to hear the terms of the mutual agreement though. I trust that shower of st as far as I could have thrown Cyril Smith.

Good.Joyce Thacker gone. I think she needs to be stripped of her CBE. And Mereddyd Hughes needs his Queen's Police Medal repossessed too.
Personally I think she should have gone when it was discovered she was more worried about a foster couple supporting UKIP then the somewhat more important stuff like thousands of children being abused and ignored on her watch.
I'd like to think she'll end up cleaning up adult nappies in a care home but no doubt her Common Purpose chums will find her another cushy post in which to operate her agenda of spreading the joy of an inclusive society.
Already rumours circulating about the deal. No hard evidence yet but questions being asked pensionwards re top up to prevent actuarial reduction. It may of course be wrong and she has simply gone with nothing, not even pay in lieu of notice. Cynics suggest previous experience with these sorts then maybe not.
It's only our money. Most Rotherham Labour voters could only dream of getting this sorted of deal.
Meanwhile one girl has told of how at 14 her carer dropped her off at a pub to meet her 23 year old abuser. Of course the serial apologists will point out that the girl wanted to go to the pub etc but this smacks strongly of facilitating.
Not only the top dogs who should be named and shamed.

HM Inspector of Constabulary report which, whilst praising recent progress by South Yorkshire Police, also criticises a very patchy response with serious issues in Sheffield, Barnsley and Doncaster in addition to Rotherham. Poor responses claimed as recently as May 2014.
Personally I think South Yorkshire are getting a possibly unfair share of the exposure and shaming as when other areas man up and start being honest this will just be the tip of an iceberg. Not just the north, not just UK.

This has just been covered on Radio 4, and what struck me was that SYP didn't think the matter serious enough to have someone on the programme sufficiently intelligent enough to deal with proper questions. The person they sent could only quote public sector-babble in a Yorkshire accent, and couldn't deal with any proper questions other than to repeat the babble.Personally I think South Yorkshire are getting a possibly unfair share of the exposure and shaming as when other areas man up and start being honest this will just be the tip of an iceberg. I'd have thought SYP would have sent someone who could address challenging questions. Then again, I guess there is no answer to the questions raised by their behaviour.

I didn't hear the radio but how do you answer questions about a HMIC report which gives criticisms like "officers spend most of their time trying to disprove the girls' allegations"I'd have thought SYP would have sent someone who could address challenging questions. WTF has been going on just doesn't cover it.
Sorry to spam the thread but another thing that springs to mind.
HMIC report will have been reasonably searching and objective one hopes.
What's being done in the council who are just as much if not more to blame. I have no idea expectations of it being anything other than arse covering measures and trying to point fingers elsewhere.

HMIC report, as thorough as it may be, still does not get to the heart of the issue; where the idiot principles came from.
On what basis were people failing to act on good evidence against certain groups and how where those clearly misplaced ideas inculcated into several different public sector organisations?

Like not getting caught and shoulder sloping public sector speak?
They are investigating Trojan Horse 2 now in Tower Hamlets with more areas likely to be exposed.
I'll give the investigations a clue just go visit every Muslim enclave in the country and you will find Islamic teaching in schools, it ain't extremist, and rape of young girls on a organised and mass scale. Along with high unemployment, much higher than average birth rates and welfare dependants.

Will any politician be brave enough to suggest this? UKIP will definitely, but only once they have a critical mass of support. Islam has been a no-go issue for them for obvious reasons.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
