That does explain your position on this. Though probably not in the way that you think it does...
It's like debating with children sometimes on here. Blaming all social workers in the country for a failing of a few is fking ridiculous. If you had any idea of the pressure they were under, the demands and inability to act you would (hopefully) be more considered.
They do an impossible job (I've mentioned this before, but my stepmum was the ONLY social worker on call in child protection over Christmas one year for half a bloody county - and it is one of the busiest periods) for fk all money.

No wonder they can't recruit, it's a thankless task.

Honest question,

If social workers are unable to act then what exactly is their responsibility?

I hear what you say about being over-worked.

You are the one clinging to a child's view of this. You have even explained why you hold those views, though you cannot see it yourself.

Anyway, this is tantamount to trying to explain clappers and rings to Pavlov's mutts. I'm off for a test drive. Shame about the rain.

trial last year heard how the teenager was repeatedly raped by the men in encounters arranged by a violent drug dealer over a period of 13 months between 2011 and 2012
Expect that phrase to crop up often during the next phase of the wider investigations.

Not still banging that old drum are you? Did you read about the drug gang last week? Sexual abusers and drug dealers. No Muslims/Pakistani names unfortunately for you.

Do "Muslim" gangs deal drugs? No doubt some do. Just like non Muslim gangs do. You'd have more credibility if you pointed out ALL drug dealing gangs that are sexually abusive, rather than picking and choosing to suit your agenda wink.

Yep. But a least most of them got a sensible sentence rather than a slap on the wrists.

Same with vulnerable males too, but tactics are switching up through threats of violence to quasi terror tactics.

And TBF Alpinestars is right; all of these criminals are utter scum, irrespective of background. It is just a shame it has taken police forces so long to join the dots with all of these interlinked crimes and gangs.

When I see groupings of mug shots like these (they seem to be a fave of the beeb), I can't help but notice the higher than average proportion of people with very unsymmetrical faces!

Odd.
