It's also probably fair to say that had this been dealt with 10 years ago then this over-representation wouldn't have occured.
Also I am equally sure that for some there could never be a figure, statistic or fact brought to bear that would ever have enough accuracy to convince them the problem exists. Far better just to shout about an ism and or argue persecution, however if you belong to that group there is a fear that exists and an irrational side in some that will put the blinkers on.

Count me in. I have no problem discussing the issues and highlighting the problems. Just wish the police, social services and the community had been as willing in the past 17 years. 1400 kids (at least) might not have had their childhoods ruined. Anyways, when are you not on shift? And when you say "all" will you be including your other taxi driver mates? I have some business trips coming up but given enough notice I can be there!

I can understand an objection to the use of the word 'Asians' in this context. It'd be liking describing Albanian criminals as predominantly white or predominantly European.
The men are predominantly Pakistani, and the problem imo is that Pakistan and surrounding areas really are the back of beyond, where people have attitudes and cultures totally alien to ours which are entrenched over thousands of years and which are not likely to change in the next 100 or so.
We as a nation must have been totally barking to think that bringing such people in as cheap labour was ever a good idea. We've created a massive problem which is unlikely to ever go away.

It is understandable though. There's a lot of finger pointing going on, and despite the scale of this it is still a small minority of "the community" involved.Also I am equally sure that for some there could never be a figure, statistic or fact brought to bear that would ever have enough accuracy to convince them the problem exists. Somebody has to talk to these people. Somebody has to keep repeating the basic truths until they start to listen. Until we get these people to understand then the potential for the problem to remain well into the future is there. hes fault?Magnum and his mates are either a part of the problem (directly or indirectly) or they can maybe form part of the solution. Thousands of kids is worth making the effort for. If talking fails then it fails, but we have to make the effort do we not? Otherwise we're just hypocrites imho.

What is being said and what appears to be supported by the facts is that by percentage, statistic or likelihood there is a disproportionate number of these crimes committed by a given demographic. It is pretty simple maths if truth be told it is just being ignored.
