No, he spat on a baby's arse in order to attempt to lubricate it enough so he could anally rape the child. Mercifully his attempt was unsuccessful I believe, been a while since I read the court transcript.

Maybe that's what she meant by "not the worst"?

my understanding was he raped a baby, but they didn't have a video of it and couldn't guarantee a conviction so went with attempted.

on this alone 35 years is not enough, he should never really come out alive.

Hopefully he will be killed by an inmate after they have inserted a bath tub up his arse

I don't think he should have gone anywhere alive, after being convicted.

However, just so we don't forget the appalling crimes he committed and why The Appeals Court said 'GFY' here are the full sentencing remarks;

NB. They have been removed and or deleted from all uk sites. Including Courts Service UK.

Horrific stuff. But important to read if only to realise that there are people like this out there. Thankfully, the few minority.

I really wish I hadn't clicked that link. I've never felt this feeling in my life. I am utterly, completely confused. There isn't the pain on the entire planet that would satisfy my desire to harm that man and the parents involved. I am just totally lost for words. What an awful, awful spiral of harm those involved caused. What happens now to those babies/toddles I have no idea.

Devastating. cry

I am surprised and pleased this appeal has been dealt with relatively very quickly

not true: http://www.judiciary.gov.uk/judgments/r-ian-watkin...

I think his initial plea of not guilty shows how delusional he was, there was no possible way he could ever win this case

also, I think Interpol have done a stty job of following up additional leads as i'm unable to believe there isn't lots - perhaps their biggest hurdle is girls who are unwilling to relive painful memories

I don't think Watkinsbeast is delusional to the point of insanity, I think he is just an arrogant, egotistical moron who was so trollied on drugs he thought he'd never get caught. How wrong his was, caught for top noncing in his life time, and will hopefully live to serve out his punishment.

The document above makes for harrowing reading. But as others have said, I am pleased that this is in the public domain.

The accounts of violence and abuse are quite literally unbelievable and if this were a film, would be thought to be pure fiction. It is difficult to comprehend that there are people that think that way in the world, but we now know there really are no limits to what humans are capable of.

How the hell did she get away with that!!

She seemed equally as sick. Reported him because he didn't want to be with her it appears.
