I must say, Snra Lario is looking rather fetching these days, all of a sudden. biggrin

Why does Silvio waste the time and energy to get married? What's the point if all he ever dreams of is being smothered by nubile totty?

I prefer blatant corruption Italian style to covert corruption like we have here in the UK, somehow it's more acceptable when everyone knows you are dodgy.

Really? I bet she only married him because she knew how rich and powerful he was. Let's face it, he really doesn't have a great deal going for him otherwise.

Nothing vaguely relevant to being any politician's wife or ex can be worth 36 million eeyores per year, a one-off settlement of that size would have been taking the p1ss. And that was probably Berlusconi's role.

It's just a rounding as far as Belusconi is concerned though, he makes more in interest each year. He's worth about 4billion quid.

Yahoo comments: "screw that. no vagina in the world is worth 36m". biggrin

Pretty sure she knew he was a randy old goat 22 years ago. Perhaps she wasn't as prepared as she first thought to handle a shameless, insatiable multi-billionaire.

To an extent I agree with you. Everyone over here criticises him for use of his massive media empire forcing his propaganda on the public year after year but we seem happy to have Murdoch doing the same for the highest bidder. However, I think the truth is the Berlusconi is not only overtly corrupt but covertly as well. And probably more so than our mob.

Perhaps it's cheap for what she knows about him that has yet to come to light (when a mafiosi hit would be too obvious)

You know, just a thought...
