What a pain in the neck!

Seems excessively cautious, even if there was a small chance of a whiplash claim, set against the certainty of destroying an innocent bystanders perfectly undamaged car. I don't really believe that someone could extricate themselves from the wreckage of a car crash to find somewhere comfortable to wait, then develop serious spinal injury leading to permanent disability in the following few minutes, let alone 2 people.
On the upside, surely the compensation culture will entitle the car owner to a decent pay out for her car, her inconvenience and her considerable trauma?
