Always seemed a proper genuine chap.
He will be missed.

The program he did where he had Alzheimers was amazing, enough to have any powerfully built, goatey sporting red bull thrower in tears. Think it was called 'Dad'

RIP indeed.

I'm not one to get emotional over someone I didn't know, but this is very sad frown

I love the Good Life frown

Everything he was in was good and he seemed like a thoroughly lovely chap.

Tom, Barbara, Jerry and Margo. Two gone already.

A glass of peapod burgundy shall be raised tonight in your memory. Thanks for some lovely moments Mr Briers.

The ladies always hang on longer.

Sad to hear - although he was looking awfully frail the last few times I saw him on TV.

He was underrated in many ways, remember Ever Decreasing Circles ? .....how about " The Other One " where he co starred with Sir Michael Gambon .
Gone but not forgotten .

Watched Cockneys V Zombies the other night, must have been one of his final performances.

What a shame. A huge part of my childhood and such a warm reassuring voice.
