Since MEPs are elected by a party-list system, surely she can't "cross the floor" and still keep the seat? Can she?

She can.

If she had quit as an MEP altogether then she would have been replaced by the next person on the UKIP list.

Nothing to stop her from switching allegiance the same way as others have switched to UKIP after being elected as Tories.

Having seen her interviewed on shows like the Daily Politics I was really underwhelmed by her communication skills.

The only down side I see for UKIP is that they've lost two women MEP's which looks bad from a PC gender sell
