Galloway is suing people over this tweet.

Have the libel laws not changed and could this not be classed as as "honest opinion" now?

I had to laugh at Hugo Rifkind's savage retort on twitter to Galloway's feeble attempts to provoke him.

Top work Hugo!

It must be difficult to libel Galloway on Twitter, as he blocks absolutely anyone he disagrees with, including me!

This has backfired for Galloway. Also, several high profile lawyers are offering free legal help to anyone who received a letter from Galloway's lawyers.

Is Galloway losing it? Or just exploring a new revenue stream?

So the man promises to uses whatever power he gets to ruin anyone who doesn't agree with him?

How does this man dare to take moral highground to anyone?

Is the guy really this petty or is it part of galloway playing up to the whole image people paint of him?

If there is a priority seat for the incumbent to crash and burn in, I really hope Galloway has to get his map of racially divided Britain out and go for the next one on the list. Is there any polling for his seat ?

You need to be pretty mental to vote for Galloway. Time he retired from politics and went on tour in Syria.....

What's the general consensus....is his seat safe? Would love it if he didn't get his seat back.

Labour have been a shambles in Bradford which means that Galloway is slight favourite with the bookies.

BBC said:
Despite assurances from Ed Miliband's office that an all-women shortlist would not be imposed to find a candidate to fight Galloway, the party's National Executive Committee ultimately decided that only women could apply for the seat.

The party denies that such a promise was ever made and says they "make no apology" for imposing female shortlists.

But it was after the shortlist was produced in February that things begin to get very murky.

Newsnight has been told that that first contest was "absolutely fixed to choose the weakest candidate", with local members acting together in protest at central interference.
The lady in question quit a day or 2 after being selected. laugh

So they found someone else:

bbc said:
But in any case, embarrassingly she withdrew within days of winning the position, leaving the party without a candidate just weeks from the general election, fighting a seat against one of the most effective political campaigners around.

A selection panel this week then chose Naz Shah, who had come last in the members' hustings and supported Mr Galloway in 2012.

Raises the intriguing question of whether the Electorial Commission has any rules about threatening potential constituents in the run up to an election? I assume they have a "Vote for me or I'll break your legs" rule, but is there anything along the lines of "once I get back in to power I'll make you sorry you crossed me"? Or is there an assumption that people who say such things won't get voted in?

Bradford Brewery are probably worried they'll be outlawed once Galloway gets power. Along with the pork farms; he has to appeal to his core voters

Poor old George is probably getting a bit confused over which mad muslins to support these days. Choose the wrong ones and the others will have his hands off.

Can't be easy...hehe

All they'd need to do is Crowdfund for legal costs and within a day they could probably fund a 10 year legal battle.
