It isn't meaningless. It may require some thought though.
I did think about it , but found it pointless in relation to my comment

Just saying what I think his position is. I realise you may be a bit more nutty on this subject than I. As for that chap you quote, I'm quite sure I could counter that with a state, net from some other PLO member. Is the Middle East problem going to be solved with spokesperson top trumps?
Nutty ? Or educated ? Or do you conduct all debates with veiled insults
To those you have a differing opinion from?
And the Middle East problem is not going to be solved on a car forum message board , not anywhere when both sides now have no intention of living peacefully with each other

What?

I know where you'd like this to head, and I find it a tedious as fk. I think what he said deserves slightly more than the usual Arab/Israel threads that all seem to disappear down exactly the same drain.

Would GG refuse to speak to an Israeli Arab? I suspect not.
Where I would like it to head? Excuse me, if you want to accuse me of something, do so. Otherwise, take your underhand implications elsewhere.
I'd like to accuse you of being fabulous. There, i said it.

Nutty, because you seem to think that the land the Jews occupied way back when apparently gives them the right to kick folks out who live their now, as he says in the clip I posted. That is frankly an absurd argument. My ancestors from back then may have come from Germany, or Italy. I have no right whatsoever to go to Italy, and turf them out because of ancestors who may or may not have come from there. That is why it is nutty, (and you find the word nutty insulting?). It is not because you have a differing opinion. It is because of that opinion.

I never said it would be solved on a car forum. I commented that 'quote' top trumps are pointless.

Doesn't his argument contradict itself?

If he doesn't recognise Israel then by definition he doesn't recognise an Israeli to not have a debate with.

Silly George.

I didnt say that,I pointed out the argument that people think palestinians should return to their 'home' ,but deny jews that same right, because it is their spiritual home, the whole religion is based around it,if muslims had been kicked out of Mecca thousands of years ago and not allowed to return,do you think there would now be a movement for them to return ?

There are plenty of reasonable people who would not have debated with or shared a platform with representatives of white ruled South Africa in the 1980's.

Galloway views Israel in the same light as apartheid era SA. Whilst you might disagree with this, you can perhaps understand the reasons why he might feel that way.
Not really. I think it's a total cop out. I'd debate against Hitler, Stalin or the devil himself given the chance.i could understand walking out if the debate descended to abuse and stupidity, but walking out because of my opponent's nationality, or affiliations or beliefs just smacks of losing the argument.

And Galloway is now shilling for the Chinese government.

Which isn't really surprising given some of his previous comments:

George Galloway Denies the Tiananmen Square Massacre

He is a special kind of ahole. Denying Tiananmen doesn't even gain him any votes. It's just a way of putting down the West.

I think he's insane. Not just because of his denial of the Tiananmen Square massacre, or the fact he thinks the protests in Hong Kong were orchestrated by the US, but also because of his response to Alan Henning's murder.

He's not right. He's insane. Far be it from me to judge a man's character by his appearance, but not only do I think he's insane, I think he's a drunkard too.

He is 'insane' in the same way that Arthur Scargill was, he passes everything he sees through an alternate view prism.

It is possibly the only thing he has said in 10 years that many sensible people would agree with

Respect party MP George Galloway described the killing as said:
a depraved Satanic act committed by devils in human form. He wrote on Twitter: “It is a desecration of all that is holy.”
