Whereas I hope when the lights go out that people with pitchforks and fires go to their houses and ask them why the f**k the lights have gone out and they are suddenly a lot richer......
Is there an opportunity for pitchfork manufacturing?

Translated "I'll put money before anything else" - we can assume I rather think (but hope to be wrong) that someone, somewhere, is paying him or someone in his family a s**tload of cash.... Windfarm precedents and all that.

Senate Report: Left-Wing 'Billionaire Club' Using Environmentalism to Control the US Economy and Subvert Democracy.

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/07/...

Snips from the Link said:
The report details how an elite group of rich liberal donors such as Tom Steyer and Hank Paulson - "the Billionaire's Club" - is directing and controlling the far-left environmental movement, "which in turn lobbies and controls major policy decisions and lobbies on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

In advancing their cause, these wealthy liberals fully exploit the benefits of a generous tax code meant to promote genuine philanthropy and charitable acts, amazingly with little apparent Internal Revenue Service scrutiny. Instead of furthering a noble purpose, their tax deductible contributions secretly flow to a select group of left wing activists who are complicit and eager to participate in the fee-for-service arrangement to promote shared political goals. Moreover, the financial arrangement provides significant insulation to these wealthy elite from the incidental damage they do to the U.S. economy and average Americans.

Through these arrangements, the Billionaire’s Club gains access to a close knit network of likeminded funders, environmental activists, and government bureaucrats who specialize in manufacturing phoney “grassroots” movements and in promoting bogus propaganda disguised as science and news to spread an anti-fossil energy message to the unknowing public. Not only is the system incredibly sophisticated, but the Club’s attorneys and accountants have mastered the loopholes and gray areas in the tax code, which enable them to obtain a full tax benefit, even when the recipient of the grant is not recognized as a public charity, and even if the money indirectly and impermissibly funds political activities.

According to an article in today's Daily Mail:

* Ed Davey recently changed from Sainsbury’s Energy to Green Star Energy to supply gas and electricity to his Kingston constituency home
* Green Star despite its name, is not an eco-certified company
* It does not have to pay green taxes because it is a new firm with fewer than 250,000 customers
* If Mr Davey’s decision encourages enough other customers to switch to Green Star, it too will be liable for the green levies

Love this reply on the "Gosplan" link............

“The RO and small-scale FITs compensation will be paid out of departmental budgets and will have no impact on consumers.”

So their budgets are taken from the Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow, guarded by the Leprechauns I suppose.

The LibDems took a seed from the Socialist Money Tree and are now growing their own. They're also smoking the leaves by the sound and smell of it.

The oceans ate Trenberth's global warming...dead in the water.

The trade winds blew Trenberth's global warming away...the worst blowjob ever.

And today's propaganda, Forests - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-2864...

All the fires and pests are down to climate change, apparently.

Whereas most of the fires are probably malicious/accidentally started by people, and most of the disease/pests are caused by the massive plant/tree nursery trade transporting problems 1000's of miles around the globe, or even 50 miles, to where plants get diseases they are not genetically predisposed to tolerate.

Nope, none of that is even a possible factor, it's all definitely down to AGW, although the future threat is uncertain (as usual, so more money required for research and any outcome is the right one!).

I think you are being a bit hard on them, if you add together all the fires at recycling plant with the fires at biomass power stations, I think that the byproduct of a believe in MMGW is an increase in fires. hehe

So ye are saying Global warming and climate change aren't actually occurring at all?
On the contrary - historical data proves conclusively that the climate is constantly changing.

The real questions should be "is climate change necessarily a bad thing" or it it simply an inevitable consequence of living on Earth.

Some people seem fixated on this idea that things shouldn't change, that the world we are now living in is exactly as it should be and that things can (and should) be preserved exactly as they are for the benefit of future generations. Anything contrary to this belief is seen as bad and requires intervention (whether it's climate change, loss of the ice caps, species preservation etc).

The history of the earth tells us that such a view is ultimately futile. Change is a fundamental part of life on this planet. The climate changes, species go extinct, new species take their place, the ice caps come and go, mountains are built and destroyed - and whether our ego likes it or not - this change is inevitable.

Bit hypocritical when climate zealots are using fire as a weapon, what?
