Best that they can reach is Alaska, maybe Hawaii. Trouble is nobody knows for sure what capability he has.

it's just empty talk for a 101st time, if they had something they would already test it and show they have a deterrent

North Korea have made similar threats since the DPRK was founded all those years back and they have never delivered on a single one. They are just crying for attention and hoping someone will throw them some fuel / food aid to shut them up.

Quite literally zero f*cks given - which despite the inevitable strongly worded political is exactly what the rest of the world powers probably think as well. The day they are stupid enough to actually follow through on their threats is the day the NK regime tumbles and they know it.

Its also fairly tragic that a bunch of civilian murdering, AK tooting, Hilux driving, religious aholes like ISIS are more threatening than a country with a standing Army of 1 million with a real / imagined nuclear capability.

there is a different issue however.

There are two other countries I would call bat-st crazy... China and the USA. Both with a tendency to undertake rash, idiotic and ridiculously stupid actions.
Both with Nuclear Weapons.

What happens if these countries *think* NK has launched against them?

I can't remember if it's been mentioned on here before, but anyone that's interested in reading more about life in North Korea should read "Nothing to Envy", written by an American journalist who lives/lived in South Korea and interviewed lots of defectors over the years. It's a massive eye-opener, and really helps you understand exactly how North Koreans are brain-washed since birth.

This is just a negotiating tactic, they want something so cause a bit of trouble and 6 months later negotiate to get what they want.

In reality China keep NK on a starvation diet as they don't want them to collapse, have unification with the South, on the souths terms and China ends up with American influence directly on the border - this is China's worst outcome, gives the people lots of funny ideas like democracy, freedom, etc.

Its like dealing with a spoilt brat, I very much doubt if they are stupid enough to fire a nuke anywhere but underground but use it so they can say to the people, they are safe from American imperialism and maintain their own positions.

China is fairly free these days unless you are really working on a revolution. But then again you wouldn't be allowed that in any western country too.
