Bet the buggers have a Tiger Moth stashed away somewhere, too.
Where's the ejector seat handle on a MIG 29? Missed opportunity there.
In that scenario the plane ejects not the fat pilot.

Boring answer; it depends if the safety pins are in.

The Great Leader would have no use for such a device because he would single handedly shoot down all those attacking imperialist dogs

Oh no, not only do we have piston heads ramping up the pressure we now have the south.

So despite all the statements that South Korea and the West would not accept a nuclear armed NK - here we are - with a nuclear armed NK.

OK, US experts say they are 5, 6, 7 years away from being able to deliver them. But that doesn't matter - in time, they WILL be able to deliver them.

That'll leave us in a situation where we'll have gone from having to tolerate a belligerent gobsh*te who liked making threats and throwing his weight around BEFORE having nuclear weapons, to having one that does all that and is able to walk the walk too.

Not only will this put an instant end to all our pie and hair doo jokes, but it will have almost certain catastrophic consequences for anybody who even slightly upsets the guy.

You could argue that he wouldn't do it because of the MAD theory. But he's mad in the first place, so why let the opportunity materialise in the first place.

He's laughing at the sanctions, so there is only one solution left now, the threat of a full on preemptive strike against all of his nuclear facilities, and further strikes against him and his military should he not get the message.

This is another reason why the Iraq War was bullst- worried that Saddam might have WMD stashed away somewhere so well that Hans Blix couldn't find it, meanwhile NK is openly developing nukes and noone does fkall.

What it does display to the world is that you really need nukes if you want to prevent invasion.

Or that mad dictators only get removed by the west, if they have oil. Even then there won't be a plan for what to do when the ensuing civil war and chaos fills the vacuum.

Maybe this is why the US are moving back into Cheyenne Mountain, after deactivating it 10 years ago

I hear Jeremy Corbyn is on the case and has already written a really strongly worded letter, in case he's annointed Prime Minister...

Norks still have the long way to go to mount a warhead on such a long-range rocket but if they aren't stopped they'll do it one day inevitably...

And that if you don't have huge oil reserves you are unlikely to be invaded.

No, nothing like it.

Just more ineffective gesturing, no action.

Like NK is actually bothered about a handful of USAF bombers out on a jolly over SK. They have annual war games with the South, ffs, with sh*t loads more kit than that knocking about.

The funniest part of that article is the bit where the US says it is still open to meaningful dialogue with Pyongyang on ending it's pursuit of nuclear weapons.

LOL. Talk about behind the game.

That is our own great leader's approach; peace through retreat.

You mean doing the exact same thing that led to North Korea in the first place?

Doubt it. There is no need for a ground invasion, fire cruise missiles at them from the yellow sea. The primary concern will be the spreading of the nuclear material they already have. Something has to be done though...

Issue is the people have been in there too long. The people believe the lies, no matter how much we laugh at them. The west hasn't got the ability to re-educate or relocate the inevitable 25 million refugees. If we bomb the st out of them, it just feeds the fire. There is no easy solution to North Korea - which is probably why no ones done anything about it.

it's pretty obvious a military answer is the very last thing anyone needs.
SK/China could not deal with the refugees and the civilian deaths could be massive.

I would suggest starting by getting the USA out of the equation, and getting a country with some credibility and history of successful negotiation to have a shot.
