Surely a kerb is the council's responsibility, not the garage owner?

In the background is a lamppost, I doubt the area was pitch black and she could not see a thing.

Well spotted.

He claims shop lifting and drive offs have increased and costing him money. He has been burgled and when the alarm goes off again he calls the police who then want money from him too.

He must just feel great right now.

Maybe she should ask WPCs Bone & Hughes how their claim for damages went?

Oh hang on, she can't, can she?

Because they were attacked with a grenade and then shot in the back & head, one of them as she was trying to crawl away on her hands and knees.

And she is complaining because she tripped on a kerb???

They should kick her out of the BiB but that's probably what she wants as she is looking for an out anyway. I'm guessing she joined, doesn't like it because it gets in the way of her busy schedule of eating doughnuts and now wants out with a big fat payoff.

fking disgrace to the force.

Jesus christ, she looks like a pie key.

Its is an embarrassment to the police that she is able to do this.

For those complaining about her size, the police fitness test is not exactly difficult so I guess a few lumpy candidates will make it through.

I doubt that she will. She will have a 'no win no fee' agreement in place and After The Event insurance will pick up the bill.
One article I read said the Police federation are helping her with her claim and will sort out her fees if she looses.

I think overall standards have improved since I joined 30 odd years ago. In those days a panda driver would have driven over the kerb, so as to reduce the distance to be walked to as short as possible. smile

They Have bits of the letter in the Mail, with the last paragraph making mention of being backed by the Police federation.

if she has done her leg in then she needs time off work etc all paid for by taxpayer so sue her! if shes successful whats to stop everyone leaping onto curbs?!
i'm not an expert on the Police arrangements but in the NHS if you sue for loss of earnings you have to repay any sick pay you got, however this also wipes the slate clean into terms of eligibility for future occupational sick pay and resets any clocks related to attendance management

I believe there has been several cases here in Northern Ireland of Police officers claiming for injuries for getting hurt whilst in pursuit/collision of a stolen car.

They claimed of the victims car insurance.

Edit, just found the story.
