Eh? As one who *has* had their life forensically examined by Swiss police and come out the other side, Im rather perplexed as to how you relate such an activity with whether Blair and Murdoch's wife were bumping uglies. You may think you have some kind of tenuous point, however I can assure you that reality does not link them.

I would advise anyone analysing Tony Blair’s statements to very carefully parse every sentence. Unless he clearly states that he has never had an affair with Wendi Deng then it is safe to assume that he has done. Remember that he’s a barrister by training and he is extremely precise in what he says (in prepared statements) and how he says it. The statement referred to earlier in the thread can be categorised as a “non-denial denial”. The trick of saying “If you’re asking...” then answering a different question is a very old one.

Finding out that this isn't true could ruin my whole weekend, I have therefore decided not to revisit this thread till at least Monday when I will have to pop back to ease the pain my constant grin will no doubt cause.
