Yes exactly. Those at the top tend to get surrounded by poeple that want to please them so they only get told what they want to hear, and after a while they will start to believe it. Blair is no different.
He even does it to himself. I've a pal who flys exec jets and he flew Blair recently. During the flight he sat there quietly... reading his own autobiography!
If the choice was that or Edwina then I would be reading too.
I didn't know Blair did Edwina aswell.

Sources close to Mr Murdoch in London say that staff at his home in California claimed Mr Blair and Ms Deng stayed there overnight at the same time on weekends in October 2012 and April this year, without Mr Murdoch’s knowledge.

It is also claimed that Mr Blair and Ms Deng had ‘multiple encounters’ of which Mr Murdoch was unaware. They are said to include a weekend overnight stay at Mr Murdoch’s home in Los Angeles and meetings in London and New York.

Does that now mean that the Murdoch press will now be on a smearing campaign overdrive?

Look at his wife then reassess that statement.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K. There have been many hints that the couple in question since this whole thing broke (I seem to remember a panicked Cameron returning from somewhere in great haste) that it's not, and never was, Brooks/Coulson that are then centre of this story. I'm minded to agree because, when the story broke, we all new about it anyway - it was something of an inexplicable anti-climax. Surely this CANNOT be true? Can it?

I am sure that they are just very good friends and that she was just helping him with some of his valuable work for the UN.

I do not know if they discussed the Ugandan situation but my visual impression is that Ms Deng is highly likely to be more involved and knowledgeable about such matters than Mrs Blair.

Typical business jet pilot. Surprised he got a book deal though.

Maybe he values intelligence over looks? Maybe raising 4 kids together strengthens the bonds between a man and his wife?

Fair point. Given the amount of husbands she's trapped she must have "something" about her.

Read this quote very carefully.

Blair’s rep shot down the frenzied rumors, telling the Hollywood Reporter: “If you are asking if they are having an affair, the answer is no.”

This is all very interesting indeed.

1. Murdoch promotes Brooks to CEO

2. Brooks presides over mass illegal surveillance of high profile people though using phone hacking etc at Murdochs papers, including prominent politicians (such as ex prime ministers)

3. Phone hacking leaks out causing massive scandal

4. Murdoch drops Brooks like a hot potato, NOTW closes

5. Brooks very angry with Murdoch at being dropped like hot potato

6. Brooks likely to go to prison for a long time, wants revenge

7. Information comes into the public domain re Blair haging out of Murdoch's wife causing Murdoch to divorce Deng

I don't believe in coincidences.

Makes sense, don't it?

Brooks got bullyrammed by Murdoch when the phone hacking scandal broke. Let's assume that she had phone hacked Bliar, what better poison pill for her to use on Rupert than this?

Hell hath no fury like a recently bullyrammed woman.

That does make some sense to be fair

The thing is if RM didn't know and now does, what dirt does he have on TB waiting to come out no he is angry

We can only wait for what is to come. IF this is what's happened (and remember that it's nothign more than conjecture at the moment) then the fuse has been lit on a hydrogen bomb. And now we wait and see.

One thing is for sure, Murdoch is a very old man, with many billions and a reputation for ruthlessness, who will stop at nothing to fix people who he perceives have wronged him. Such as anyone who has poled his wife, for example.

IF Bliar had poled Deng, I imagine that he would be pooing his romper suit at the moment, given what Murdoch must have on him locked in a safe somewhere.

Bliar's downfall coming?? All bets could be off here, and no mistake.
