Whatever, the anticipation of a scorned and angry Mrs Cherie Booth QC letting rip on Anthony Charles Lynton's backside in court is quite delectable and something to be savoured. Bring it.

She would forgive his sins.
You reckon? I don't.
Not a lot of guys wanting to deng her, and he makes a lot of dough.
If she divorced him she wouldn't be short of a few bob herself, it's not as if she'd struggle to find a good divorce lawyer.

More hopeful than likely.

Cherie Blair is a much sharper cookie than the likes of Vicky Pryce. If she was to start revealing any embarrassing or dodgy situation that went on during the Labour leader years, she could quickly find her position as a QC in jeopardy.

Her admitting being aware of dodgy dealings involving the PM but keeping quiet as it was her husband wouldn't go down to well with Lord Chancellor.

Maybe easier for her if the Lord Chancellor was still Derry Irvine (allegedly).

Jesus, It seems like the only member of New Labour that was even nearly honest and straight forward was Peter Mandelson....

Hillary stood by her man - it's all politics, a dirty game.

Thanks for that.

On a scale of 1 : 10, how likely?

We can only wait for what is to come. IF this is what's happened (and remember that it's nothign more than conjecture at the moment) then the fuse has been lit on a hydrogen bomb. And now we wait and see.

One thing is for sure, Murdoch is a very old man, with many billions and a reputation for ruthlessness, who will stop at nothing to fix people who he perceives have wronged him. Such as anyone who has poled his wife, for example.

IF Bliar had poled Deng, I imagine that he would be pooing his romper suit at the moment, given what Murdoch must have on him locked in a safe somewhere.

Bliar's downfall coming?? All bets could be off here, and no mistake.

Murdoch came across as a confused and feeble old man at the Levison enquiry - would he really have it in him at this stage of his life to take down a man like Blair? Also Blair might have a been a slimey, lying git but he's a match for anyone when it comes to politics and he would have enough up his sleeve on Murdoch too one would imagine.

He even does it to himself. I've a pal who flys exec jets and he flew Blair recently. During the flight he sat there quietly... reading his own autobiography!
Must be so tempting to pack a parachute and make a jump for it when the plane is low enough leaving your passenger to.... smile

For the benefit of GCHQ types - that was a poor attempt at a joke. I would never wish harm on any of our (ex) leaders nor would I encourage anyone else to.

It's not as if Murdoch would have to do it on his own, he's got the resources of News International behind him, an enormous amount of media contacts, and the help and support of the millions of people Blair has pissed off over the years. I think he'd be pushing on an open door, especially if Blair gets the kicking he deserves from the Chilcot report.

You didn't fall for that, did you ? Ian Hislop's take on Murdoch at the Leveson inquiry is more my take too.

These stories in the Wail are coming from Murdoch's camp, if not from Murdoch himself; you can tell from the attribution of comments to 'close friends of Mr Murdoch', 'a well-placed source' or 'sources close to' - journalistic shorthand for 'he told us, but said he didn't want his name on it'. Or turn it the other way: Can you imagine that anybody in Murdoch's world would brief the Wail without his explicit instruction?

Murdoch's older children are reputedly not fans of Deng, so there is a chance it could have come from them, rather than the Emperor himself.

Add to that the fact they're quoting from personal correspondence between Deng and Murdoch that was 'found'. and it's fairly obvious who the source is.

I'd also imagine that Deng has clauses in her divorce or other contracts that will prevent her from speaking; the legal equivalent of 'keep your face shut or we'll break it'. In saying that, I'd be overjoyed if Cherie did a heart-to-heart on breakfast TV, then Deng did a tell-all book, and the whole shower of scumbags spent the next couple of years humiliating each other through tabloid briefings. After all, they've done it to plenty of other people previously for their own gain.

I hope it is true and hope that the chickens come home to roost for Blair at long last. My parents always told me what goes around comes around and a lot of people have been waiting a long time for this to become of TB. He was my MP for a long time and did nothing for the area or people (unless it was election night or a president was visiting where miraculously the areas they visited were painted and made immaculate),he just used Sedgefield for the red rosette voting dinosaurs and his easy seat to power. Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke.

Blair stood for Labour in the Beaconsfield (Bucks) seat in 1982 (currently Dominic Grieve's seat) and had his arse firmly kicked for the only time in his career. What a stupid seat to choose; a pig in a blue rosette would get the job for the Conservatives!

Deng love note published

It's a bit of a horror story her eulogising over Blair's ass. He still denies it.
Read into it what you will. Roop decided enough was enough.
