Is that the percentage of those who do not pay tax, and those who do?

So based on no evidence whatsoever, apart of course the sour grapes of the Nats; you make an assertion you cannot back up. Probably better you go back to the Wings Over Scotland Site, where you'll receive lots of encouragement from other deranged fools.

yes .....simply no other viable option due to a possible PIS insurgence ( must drop the G now)

Pity the Greeks in general think they will keep the euros.....

This is a massive game player and the only hope the EU have in this sorry mess is that the Greeks fail to make a go if it, going it alone.....

Just seen this comment attributed to a Party official:

'We have to restore stability to the system, with or without the help of the ECB. We have the capacity to print €20 notes," said one.'

It is easy to identify Greek issued Euros https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=how+to+identify+...

Now might be the time to spend any Greek Euros before they cease to be legal tender outside Greece. "But DON'T PANIC Pike".

Now that the socialist government is confirmed, Greece has all the chances for a prosperous future:
- employ all people who don't want to be an entrepreneur in the public sector (or put them on a retirement pension) => 0% unemployment!
- tax the few idiots who insist to work for self-fulfilment
- simply print as much money as desired, so everyone has enough
- only buy Greek-made products, such as trains, telephones, busses, etc.

It's that simple, and everyone knows that.

So week in Crete booked first week in August, what will holiday companies do? Try and ask for a change of destination?

It looks like the BBC ramping a "rich" village's land of milk and honey from EU largesse didn't chime with a large majority. It even included a push on expensive green farming and a subsidised wind farm, what lucky devils.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33329624

This good practice could be disseminated.

Which indicates quite a lot of what's wrong with the EU and the BBC in one curiously pro-rich story.

Recent BBC comment on a clear victory for the No vote said:
There is still a sizeable chunk of the Greek nation deeply unhappy with what has happened.
There is still a far more sizeable happy majority.

Minister Panos Skourletis said:
I believe there is no Greek today who is not proud, because regardless of what he voted he showed that this country above all respects democracy/
Unfortunately the EU does no such thing.

Two posts on here which rang a bell with me. Mermaid is quite right on the extent of the huge under declaration of taxes within Greece. Craig 71 and Axionknight offer comments on the madness if the current EU position and the dangers that this must bring to the EU.

On the question of whether Greece could make a fist of leaving the EU and actually fare better than expected, then this, does seem unlikely to me. If they did then the EU would be completely superfluous. Huge number of questions need to be asked and answered now. I do hope the EU wakes up and smells the burning. This sorry mess has gone on far too long and cost far, far too much. And more losses are going to accrue to the EU in getting out of this affair. It's going to be a very interesting few weeks in the rest of July! One we go!!

Do they have the capacity to print €20 notes? Or has the party been lying?

No, but they will likely ask you to bring your own food.

Its a pretty similar story to the recent 'cancer patient being evicted'.
Poor financial planning, sense of entitlement, doublespeak and arranging a crowd of noisy sympathisers.

Considering the recent shenanigans on a broader scale, and considering the cost of a Grexit vs the cost of a bailout/restructure, I reckon what we're seeing is exactly what the Germans wanted all along - Greek debt socialised so private (ie, banks) interests are protected, then Greece removed from the Euro in such a way that Berlin doesn't appear to be responsible for it.

He's lying; they print the 10 Euro note in Greece. But they could quite easily print as many of those as they like. They'd likely need to change the serials on them but it's a pretty excellent blackmail tactic.

Even if they have a printing press it would surely be madness to unilaterally start printing Euro's. Wouldn't that be like Clydeesdale Bank turning on the taps of the UK money supply?
