Anyone hear wake up to money on R5 this morning? Apparently the average salary at FIFA is $200k, no way are they going to want that to change!
While the corruption in FIFA is blatant and incredible, the number you quote above needs a bit of context. In Zurich bar staff get paid $25-30 an hour, cleaners $30-40 an hour, check out staff get paid $45,000 a year. FIFA have got 400 staff in Zurich. Apart from all the committee heads and self important types, not to mention good old Sepp himself they have a bunch of lawyers, accountants etc and they don't come cheap in Switzerland. A mid level employee at a bank, pharmaceutical firm, engineering firm or at a consultancy won't be far off that average salary.eyebeebe said:

It's great to see this young England team developing nicely. Should have just about matured in time to boycott the 2018 world cup...
I wouldn't worry about it - we're miles off the top teams. So Garcia makes a complaint to FIFA that their summary report was "incomplete and erroneous". FIFAs response - Garcia's complaint is "not admissible".
BBC report said:
A complaint by the man who spent two years investigating World Cup corruption claims for Fifa has been dismissed by football's governing body.
US lawyer Michael Garcia's findings were released as a 42-page summary by Fifa-appointed independent judge Hans-Joachim Eckert.
Garcia said his summary was "incomplete and erroneous" and he appealed against it to Fifa's Appeal Committee.
However, it has now ruled that Garcia's complaint is "not admissible".
In a statement, Fifa said German Eckert's summary was "neither legally binding nor appealable".
A complaint by two whistleblowers who said their confidentiality was compromised after they gave evidence to Garcia's inquiry has also been dismissed by Fifa.
