Platini is being put forward as a successor but he voted for Russia and Qatar and his son was rewarded so that's him out.

OK, now to cancel Russia & Qatar.
Probably too late to cancel 2018 in Russia, the draw is due next month. 2022 in Qatar is another matter.

With what is going on in Qatar around the building of the stadiums, I cannot believe they would play the WC there.

Mind you money talks.

Don't expect Dave Cameron to do much about it they have bankrolled his so called economic 'recovery' and bought up swathes of London of late like its the monopoly board.

Yeah, but probably not for very long.

Hmm. Dyke said that something has "terrified" him. And he's up to his neck in dealing with Putin. Maybe ol' Sepp didn't fancy a Polonium sandwich.

FBI have a huge chunk of his underlings facing custody.
US authorities can crack hard bitten established crime families, these soft Fifa exec's will be a walk over.

If there is a case to answer it wont be long until they start testifying against each other.
No code of Omerta within FIFA.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out - could all be innocent / removing himself and focus onto other issues

OR there could be a full on cartel with illegal money laundering and personal bribes. Surely IF that cataclysmic scenario did happen FIFA would have to be disbanded and a totally new body set up.

Not really that different to The Lance Armstrong and UCI (either complicit or utterly inept and thus in both scenarios a worthless organisation with no credibility)

the FBI/IRS/NYC prosecutor will build a solid gold case against him.

Apply for extradition

Suddenly he'll be too ill to stand trial, extradition refused.

he'll live under the care of his "nurses" at home and will live another 15 years in luxury off his ill gotten gains.

I don't wish to wee in anyone's champagne but who will reform FIFA? The place appears corrupt from top to bottom. Even Platini's son has been accused. Platini is Russia's preferred candidate and France voted for Blatter. Money is allocated equally so Monserrat (pop. 6,000) gets the same vote (and money!!!) as the USA (pop. 350,000,000). Turkeys don't often vote for Christmas and the reason Blatter held so much sway was that the developing nations always backed him - to invite reform would diminish them and stop the gravy train.

A rerun of the bidding process might happen - but it might only be because it gives the corrupt another chance to receive some moolah.

Again just seen this pop up

"INTERPOL issues Red Notices for former FIFA officials and executives wanted by US authorities"

http://www.interpol.int/News-and-media/News/2015/N...

Hopefully this will get the ball rolling on some more arrests.

The main issue I see atm. Is with Blatter gone. All the Blatter voters will just vote in the next corrupt head of fifa and nothing will change. The whole organisation needs a culling of members before the next leader vote
