Jeremy Paxman vs Russell Brand

Fecal diatribe.
Extensive disinfection was required chez moi following Brands' verbal diarrhoea.
Really, there should be a warning issued before this loon spouts forth in public.
Can't see what Davis could have done to staunch the flow really - short of decking the 'Messiah'.
Sounds like your idea would have made for more interesting TV.Extensive disinfection was required chez moi following Brands' verbal diarrhoea.

I don't really have an opinion on him as an individual, although I do know he does a lot for charities related to addiction. I have more of a dislike for aggressive tax avoidance by the likes of Google, Amazon etc and if he does anything to keep the focus on them, I'm OK with it.
There's around £150billion of wasted tax and he wants a focus on a few tens of £millions at best that nobody has ever been under any obligation to pay.Not great prioritising, not great thinking. There might just be an anti-corporate political angle seen as populist and good for PR with teenage deep thinkers. That's hardly a surprise coming from this "champagne socialist with a big mouth" as accurately summed up by ninjacost.

Was that not one of the points though? That the current establishment allow these companies to avoid paying by removing their obligation?
At the moment they don't have an obligation to remove, they operate entirely within the financial framework of the EU. So just for clarity, are you saying they should do away with one of the four pillars of the EU, freedom to move capital?
