Kinda get the feeling that in this drowning cage of rotten fish, they will tear each other apart to save their own sallow, rancid scaly skins.

I predict that at least one of them will fall prey to "mental illness" at some point during the trial and be declared unfit to stand trial

As I frequently type, data or information doesn't have value if you don't use it.

Ah yes, that actor who was given his own TV series on Sky shortly after dropping charges against his wife for assault.

I wonder why the marriage ended? There was nothing in the papers about it, just remember him appearing with a black eye and reports of Police called to a 'domestic' at their home. Can't say I heard any intersting rumours about it at all. no sir. whistle

TBH, I'm not one for TV or the DM/Hello?celeb stuff, so I had to Google for that story.

Finding unedifiying truths about Brooks is like searching for st in a field isn't it?

Apologies for being dim, but is it the case that only these journo's were accessing Milly Dowler's mobile phone, or was plod not also privy to the same recorded messages via the phone company?

It's poor form that the hacks didn't ensure plod were following up 'the lead', but perhaps plod should have been ahead of the game?

Just asking. Also, is it the case that the mobile phone memory was wiped but it is not proven who did it (but we're always encouraged to think it was the hacks)?

So they were banging each other for years. What the hell has that got to do with phone hacking?

They are charged with conspiracy. Part of proving conspiracy is about showing how close people were, how much they tursted each other etc etc.

It is therefore relevant that he was hanging out of the back of her.

You're not being dim at all so the apology isn't applicable. smile

I agree with your points, plus would like to add some more in that I am not sure where press controls sit with the police using the media officially or unofficially and criminally when we have officers selling information and leads to the press. It just seems inconsistent and one group of people doing it being able to hide their misdeeds by uniform, brand, power or legislation.

It's my understanding that the voice mail messages that were supposed to have been deleted could have been automtically purged by whichever mobile phone telco the late Milly Dowler used.

I think it's also worthy of note that it was a Mirror reporter that befriended the family of Levi Bellfield that secured the conviction for the killing of Milly Dowler. Perhaps they were using techniques that weren't allowed by the police, which may have parallels with your comment about the police could have possibly been more on the ball.

Perhaps it's about motivations and rewards in that News International were in it to sell papers or web hits and the police were in it for....?

A ducking stool may be green if recycled wood was used.

See below. It's evidence which goes to the likelihood of them being engaged in a conspiracy together - i.e. he is poleing her, therefore they are more likely than strangers to be involved together in a conspiracy.
