On reflection, as Coulson (definitely) and also, allegedly, a certain Prime Minister, allegedly, have already visited, I think I shall focus my ambitions elsewhere.

Sloppy Thirds. So much more than poor law degrees for lazy beagles.

I am delighted to say that I have nothing even faintly resembling a law degree. Fancy wasting undergraduate years studying law; what a dreadful notion.

Don't forget Grant Mitchell's contribution. He's faced down some proper nutters, real and imagined, but got slapped abart good n propa by that dodgy boiler.

Now you are making her seem strangely attractive once more. Desist!

It certainly makes me reconsider much advice you have given in the past.

As Sir Arnold said in Yes Minister - it could cause Sir Humphrey’s "soundness" to be questioned

PS: based on my track record, anyone who took my advice about women would be crazier than a crazy clock.

Ah ha, you're one of those. My sister-in-law is the same.

Breaders old chap.

Do you reckon they'll get potted?
I ducked your question, Soovster. Lawyers, eh? Back atcha: what do you think will happen?

BTW, even though Ms Brookes looks tired and stressed, is leaving off her make up, and is letting her hair blow about in the wind, I sort of still would. Does this make me a bad person?
I reckon they will go down for it. Jury won't like them one bit - the Dowler hack will see to that.

I say that because even if the evidence shows that the offence isn't quite made out beyond a reasonable doubt, they have come across as nesty pieces of work up to all sorts, and will therefore likely get potted.

I might be wrong, after all it only takes a couple of waverers/knobbled ones.

I still predict a hospitalisation at some point.

Instant lawyer: add booze, shake vigorously for one year postgraduate Diploma in London, then crammer stylee Bar course and a year following some blokes around and admiring their flash motahs. For me, the law is a practical tool for resolving some societal issues (and keeping me in coke and hookers). It is no fit subject for scholarship. Others (including some but not all of my colleagues) disagree.

Soovs, you may well be right about the verdict, but on the far more important question of wouldness, if she puts her make up back on and does her hair, whatcha reckon?

Possibly but you'd ceratinly have to finish in her hair just to annoy her.

Point of procedure!

If they are found guilty, is it likely they are sentenced the same day - or are they let out to be sentenced at a later date - or held in jail awaiting the sentence?

And if they're then sentenced and decide to appeal (who wouldn't) - are they bailed bedore the appeal or held in custody?

Just askin'

The Court would usually defer sentencing to a later date. The defendants would probably remain on bail pending sentencing, as neither presents an obvious flight risk. If convicted and imprisoned, they would normally start their sentences pending any appeal.

I reached that conclusion before you and resisted temptations to make comparisons with your Beta Spyder.

You mean something not young, but quite fast, red, and a bit rusty around the tail pipe?

PS: also quite dirty.
