Seems extraordinary that one can get off and the other one convicted ?

Coulson being reported on the BBC now.

Someone, some where on the internet owes me £100 to charity.. FFS. I would have been happy to pay the £100.

Brooks' husband, PA and head of security cleared of PCOJ
Incredible. I had a feeling this was heading in this direction though, somebody posted this outcome on here a while back.

Given the fact that Murdoch had to close an entire paper overnight as part of a damage limitation exercise makes me think some people have had a lucky escape in this case.

"The jury found Mrs Brooks not guilty of conspiracy .....to pay public officials and ...."

Strange she (Brooks) has already admitted making payments to public officials

Guess it is alright to pay police officers after all ??

So Coulson guilty, Brooks and all others not guilty.

A very odd result given the conspiracy angle.

I say again, Brooks has dirt on people at the VERY top. Poison pill worked a treat. Someone has pulled strings here.

So you have to wonder what DID she actually do in her very well paid job, if knowing how her underlings were getting their stories wasn't part of it.

What will Murdoch get her to not do for her money next? Can't see anyone else being crazy enough to employ her despite this verdict.

My guess is that Charlie Brookes, Rebekah Brookes and Mark Hannah will be not guilty on their PCOJ charge; Rebekah Brookes & Cheryl Carter will be not guilty on their PCOJ charge; Goodman & whoever else was accused of paying a public official (for the royal phonebooks) will be not guilty of that. For all these charges, I don't think the prosecution have shown evidence "beyond reasonable doubt".

I do think that Coulson will be found guilty of knowingly being involved in phone hacking, and probably Rebekah Brookes as well. Not sure about Kuttner.
Requoting my earlier reply, this is what I reckon based on reading all the coverage as the trial went along. Of all of the defendants, I think Coulson is the most certain to be convicted, and given that he was so close to Rebekah Brooks, I think it's likely the jury would also convict her as there's no way she couldn't have known about it.
Spot on so far, mate. Good call

What little faith in the British Justice System has now been destroyed.
A sad day.
