I'll put money on this one being an insurance job, it was no recycling centre, it used to be a site for recycling aggregate, I can't say much more as I know the family who own it.Is it insurance or just disposal that was the intention? - there were clearly many thousands of tons there that would have taken an age to move

Massive thanks to the mod responsible for correcting the thread title from the bag of kittens in my office
No I don't really have a bag of kittens in my office, it's more of a hold all.
Okay, so there are no kittens, it's just me that is grateful!
That's how I found the thread again, typing 'yest another' got me the thread I wanted. Not I'll have to sift through more (probably)No I don't really have a bag of kittens in my office, it's more of a hold all.

WTF? To echo Hornetrider - why aren't the police and authorities onto this like a rash. There's all this endless hoo-hah about the environment and the tiny amount of pollution coming out of a cars tail pipe, and yet the recycling industry is run by get-rich-quick, jack-the-lad, 3.14 keys who are just plain bent. In another life they set fire to their own nightclubs. Burning tyres are bloody nasty stuff.
Funny how random things like my bin or compost heap don't miraculously spontaneously combust every year or so.
This whole industry needs taking over by a government body; the sort of people who are in the industry are not fit to do so.
By the way - there's a bit here on what happens if burning tyres get out of control. This is near me and I remember it from when I was a kid.

I am normaly the last person to say the Government needs to get involved with something, but in this situation something needs to be done because these clowns plainly can't do it.There's all this endless hoo-hah about the environment and the tiny amount of pollution coming out of a cars tail pipe, and yet the recycling industry is run by get-rich-quick, jack-the-lad, 3.14 keys who are just plain bent.
