Regards a typo in thread titles or a multi million pound blatant fraud against the tax payer?

The typo I have a clue how to get sorted. I don't happen to have any power to deal with any possible multi million pound frauds right at the minute.

I'll put money on this one being an insurance job, it was no recycling centre, it used to be a site for recycling aggregate, I can't say much more as I know the family who own it.
It is obviously still smouldering now judging by the smell today.

Is it insurance or just disposal that was the intention? - there were clearly many thousands of tons there that would have taken an age to move

Massive thanks to the mod responsible for correcting the thread title from the bag of kittens in my office hehe

No I don't really have a bag of kittens in my office, it's more of a hold all.

Okay, so there are no kittens, it's just me that is grateful!
frown That's how I found the thread again, typing 'yest another' got me the thread I wanted. Not I'll have to sift through more (probably)

Saw the FB heading g to this one earlier. Then coming the other way later saw the massive cloud of smoke. Not a small incident.

Seriously. Are the 5-0 not onto this farce yet? I'm staggered this thread gets bumped every few weeks.

WTF? To echo Hornetrider - why aren't the police and authorities onto this like a rash.

There's all this endless hoo-hah about the environment and the tiny amount of pollution coming out of a cars tail pipe, and yet the recycling industry is run by get-rich-quick, jack-the-lad, 3.14 keys who are just plain bent. In another life they set fire to their own nightclubs. Burning tyres are bloody nasty stuff.

Funny how random things like my bin or compost heap don't miraculously spontaneously combust every year or so.

This whole industry needs taking over by a government body; the sort of people who are in the industry are not fit to do so.

By the way - there's a bit here on what happens if burning tyres get out of control. This is near me and I remember it from when I was a kid.

I am normaly the last person to say the Government needs to get involved with something, but in this situation something needs to be done because these clowns plainly can't do it.

Good old Wail reporting, albeit most of it recycled MEN. If the alarm was raised at 4:30pm, there were a lot of stoned/pissed/whatever locals, or the fire brigade were recovering from a heavy night. Was going a treat well before then & visible from a decent number of miles away.

Absolutely no surprise whatsoever that it just happens to involve recycling scratchchin.
