Although it's quite monolithic, I like it - at least they tried! In Cambridgeshire they just built a big shed. Which didn't work for about a year. That place in Leeds has a slight whiff of Bond baddie's lair about it.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-35691276
Looks like there's just no money in it.

What a 'waste'.

It's a shame as the thought of landfill for materials that can be recycled is inherently wrong. But what's the solution if it's too expensive to do? On the other hand I don't want big subsidies to be given from govt to private companies to do so. Don't know what the solution is really.

Even partial recycling of easily recoverable materials is costly, the viability fluctuates along with the cost of the raw materials produced on the global raw materials market. A possible answer is whole life costing; oblige manufacturers to include the cost of recycling into the price, packaging included. Imported goods have a tariff applied to add the cost of disposal. This would encourage the use of more easily recyclable materials and design for ease of disassembly or refurbishment. The biggest problem is that it would increase the amount of money in recycling and likely increase the amount of corruption and arson. An interesting piece here about the viability of recycling.

Ahh so that's what it is.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-35691276
I quite like it, better than an anonymous steel shed.
