It's not on fire, that's good news I suppose.

sky reporting that it's a police helicopter. Sounds like a forced landing.

Woman being interviewed on BBC just said she heard it was a police helicopter.

Hope no-one has been killed or seriously injured.

If nobody is injured that will be a miraculous.

Witness said it was police copter spiraling down, rotors not going.
Apparently there is an helipad nearby for amb/police copters.

To me, it sounds like a "controlled" ish emergency landing due to engine failure, some people saying it came spiraling down, Fire Service have 15 appliances at the scene, not confirming injuries, but I don't really see how there can't be.

Crikey. I assume if they had some control over it they may have considered putting it down in the Clyde.

But another poster has mentioned the proximity to the emergency service helicopter pad.

My wife is currently in a pub in Glasgow city centre so I got a bit of a fright when I saw this story on the news. Fortunately not anywhere near this, hope everyone involved is ok. frown

There will be fatals from this I suspect, given the lack of any fuselage shape left.

Aye, looking at the pictures it's gone straight through. Bound to be very busy on a friday night, horrible.

Saying now about remarkable no fire (considering fuel onboard) - perhaps it was out of fuel!

I was just thinking that myself. The police helicopter is based nearby apparently.

A mate's boy was in the pub when this happened. He's out uninjured, no more info.
