As said, terrible news. Fast & Furious 7 has not been released yet, has it been completed? No doubt if they still release it, it will be a tribute to Paul Walker. I generally don't feel much for when celebs die, but I'm very suprised by this one.

I'd echo the above, at 30 years old I've grown up with this film franchise and I've never really cared about celebrities dying, but I'm actually a bit upset about this. Must be getting old and sentimental.

Tragic news, I've grown up with the Fast and Furious films which have no doubt reinforced my love for cars.

Wow, genuinely saddened to hear this and like some others, I don't normally bother too much if a celebrity dies ( as sick as that sounds, I know... )

I guess it means more if the person is involved in and represents something that you care about yourself. I've always been a big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise and I'm certain that future films just won't be the same without him.

R.I.P. to Paul and the other poor chap that was in the car at the time frown

"Some reports suggest Roger Rodas, a Pirelli World Challenge driver and co-founder for Walker's Always Evolving team, may have been the driver, though neither the team nor Walker's spokespeople have confirmed Rodas' involvement."

Terribly sad news RIP Paul Walker

That's being a bit presumptuous isn't it when the full details of the crash beyond the impact haven't been released, or inded possibly aren't known?
Don't get me wrong, it seems likely to be a case of "watch this!" but probably best not to jump to conclusions about someone who's died.
he was in the passenger seat!
Yep I know, but unless you know something we don't yet crashes aren't always edriver error.
Looks like it was this time, the Sheriff office investigating say speed was a factor, shame really.

Such a horrible thing to wake up to, like others have said we all grew up with this movie franchise, it's part of us.

One of the photographers I follow on FB was one of first people on the scene, couldn't get close enough to the car because of the fire to see if he could help, that will be haunting.

RIP Paul and Roger, so sad.

Gonna watch Fast 5 tonight now.

Terrible new.

Reading some of the tweets about him it seems he was a really down to earth genuine guy.

The film is not completed yet. Paul and some of the cast were in Abu Dhabi filming some stunt scenes. I had the pleasure of meeting Paul and some of the cast in November at the apartment block i live. They were due back in Mid January to complete the Middle East Scenes.

It will not be the same without him, RIP

Very similar to the Ryan Dunn crash real shame but from the wreckage photo it does appear the driver was travelling at a pretty fair lick considering they were going to a charity event frown

I was lucky enough to have worked with Paul on Fast 6 last year. A really, genuinely nice guy and a proper 'gearhead'as he liked to say. He loved the Mk2 Escorts used in the film so much he bought the 'hero' one to take back home with him.

RIP.

To echo the thoughts of many others, the F&F franchise is something that I grew up with. It fueled my interest in all things automotive, and it gave me great joy during my formative years.

Hollywood is a bhy, backstabbing place, but by all accounts Paul Walker bucked the trend by being universally liked and appreciated as a genuine and down-to-earth guy. His charity work was a huge part of his life, and he helped many.

RIP guys.

“Him and his buddy, his brother in arms at heart, just decided to joyride, take a spin," Antonio Holmes, an onlooker at the event who identified himself as a friend of Walker's, told the local Santa Clarita Valley Signal newspaper. "Something we all do. We're all car enthusiasts. ... We’re all here driving, enjoying each other, and God must’ve needed help."

According to witnesses, the red Porsche Carrera GT carrying Walker and his friend lost control and slammed into a tree and then a light pole. Walker, an unapologetic car lover, had been participating in the "Winter Drive" for Reach Out Worldwide, a toy drive and car meet charity event for disadvantaged children. Walker was also involved in humanitarian efforts in Chile and Haiti after the devastating earthquakes in both countries.

"Speed was a factor in the solo vehicle collision," the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said in a updated statement late Saturday.
