Sounds serious. He may have been a cock on track but he was a very friendly man when I met him. Always been good to fans.
Hope he's ok
He probably had an off day when I saw him once in Vegas a few days before (or maybe after) the 2003 US GP. Despite me being the massive crowd of 1 person that recognised him, he just turned up his nose at me and kept walking. DC was also there but stopped for a quick chat & autograph. Still obviously wish Schumi well and a speedy recovery though.

Reports I read that are a few hours old seem to suggest he is not in danger (seem to be over hyped some what).

Have seen it somewhere else too, but cant find the source at the moment on phone.

Single source information, nothing official that I could find - so be cautious - lots of new outlets pushing ambiguity right now.

It's here if you want to read it in the French.

That said, fingers crossed, big hero of mine and many.

Irresponsible tweeting in my view. "French press" - name your source or don't tweet….

France 24 saying now
The mountain police who first tended to Schumacher said he suffered a "severe cranial traumatism".

The Grenoble hospital which has admitted Schumacher refused to give any information about the former racer's condition. But French radio station RMC reported late on Sunday that Schumacher’s condition had worsened because of brain bleeding and that his life was now endangered.

Blimey, BFM now saying his condition is "critical". Let's hope they're exagerating.

Story last updated at 5:30, when all was fine.

Hope the reports are unfounded and he has a speedy recovery.

I've been told that the only concrete bit of info is that Professor Gerard Saillant was called in to assess his injuries. It might be that a lot is being read into this. But in all honesty, who would he call but him?

The other bit of concern is that there has been no press release. In fact there has been an tight news blackout. Difficult to know how to read that as this is France: they do things differently there.
