Apparently, diversity is white genocide.

On my way down the A127 in Essex on my way to take the kids to visit the grandparents and we get to a set of lights near Romford. The traffic seemed slower through the lights than the build up of traffic suggested, and there's a few guys on the foot bridge which crosses the road.
When we get to the bridge, the few signs they've put up said "vote BNP" and the bed sheet sign crudely written out stated "diversity is white genocide".
Does this sum up the BNP as a whole? I can't see past this type of supporter, as I've had run ins with these type of people.
I have my opinions on the BNP and they're obviously swayed by the colour of my skin, but have they changed? Can anyone argue in favour of such a party with the background they have?

Not sure why you're surprised by this tbh. The BNP don't like people who are not White Aryan. Labour have been around for a while and, given their approach to immigration, I can't think of them attracting any substantial BNP support. Whereas the EDL and UKIP have emerged relatively recently and I think , given their views on immigration, are probably far more attractive for BNP supporters now that the BNP itself seems to be dying a slow lingering death.In my view, the BNP aren't anywhere as extreme as other countries, eg Greece's golden dawn.

Still, is it worse than other groups in the UK carrying placards saying "this is a [insert religion] area" and hassling people going about their blasphemous ways? Not really, this demo seems to have been very non confrontational to be honest.
But the BNP - a party that supports the nation of Britain should attract a lot of support in theory, but to tell the difference between policies to support a nation vs. policies that are racist (discriminating on the basis of race) is too hard for most people (including the media), so it's just easier to stick a "nazi" label on them.
And its not as if the BNP help themselves - although it could just be a co-incidence that all their supporters like they've on the way to a pub brawl.

So they haven't killed anyone directly. Well that's comforting to know. Back on topic, comparing diversity (whatever it is meant to be) with genocide is a little bit extreme (to say the least), but to be expected from the BNP and their ilk. Agree with the poster that they have been replaced to some extent by a multitude of protest groups (e.g. EDL) and political parties (all of them) who have taken on some of the issues that the BNP use to gain support. It's the language that sets these two groups apart as well - I do get a bit worried whenever people start using terms like genocide (which ever side of the fence they are sitting on). If you've lived through recent events (like the Balkans) or had older relatives who have experience real genocide then you will know why that is so.

I agree. Better to allow parties like this than either ban them or see them exist in the shadows of the mainstream parties. I don't agree with their views, but I am glad I live in a fairly open democracy. Still, let's just hope people ignore them as they should.
It's good when they go on the likes of Newsnight as well. Shows up how shallow their wider policies are, how weak their mainstream policies are and further reduces their minimal credibility.
