Assault a Police Officer though and it's just a fine.

What is that worth as a % of his weekly wage I wonder? Mildy sore wrist?

If this was anonymous Bob from the corner shop, no one would be asking for a sentence review.

It's just because he's famous, and spiteful/interfering sorts sense an opportunity to get the authorities to dance to their tune and make their own sad impotent existences feel that little bit more important. It's exactly the same with people that scream outrage at PC 'crimes', being offended on behalf of others. It's about inferior people feeling they can exercise power and influence, nothing to do with common sense or fairness or justice.

Of course, it needs exposure and publicity to make it more likely some people will object. Not many people will see most Crown Court sentences. We have no idea who has complained. It highlights people aren't in agreement with those on here who seem to think their view is "obvious" and "common sense".

I don't think his sentence needs increasing. Or if it does it should remained suspended.

Well well we now have Dr Fox arrested for historic sexual crimes... Where will this all end?

Hopefully it will be the girl who ran her hand down my back and squeezed my left bum cheek in the bar last Friday night as she rubbed her clothed breasts against the small of my shirted back. I feel so traumatised that I can't even bring myself to use the experience in my lucrative comedy career.

The same people who had no issue being "out to get people" have suddenly changed? Or more likely the same consistent process (full code test) wasn't met on this occasion, whereas with others it were.

and nothing to do with the management realising the public have had quite enough of their tax money wasted on fishing trips?

take this one, almost 1 year from initial arrest to decide to dump it, come on, how long can it take? or were they just waiting to see how the other cases were going first?

Total joke at our expense

Pure speculation without evidence to suit a bias.

This is the same management who've had no qualms breaking all their rules and and the law, right? The same management who've had no problem apparently acting in a grossly unethical manner now care? That's consistent. Let's just side-step logic when something we don't want to hear or reason with occurs.

BTW, at which date did the management realise the "public had had quite enough"? On this specific occasion or another?

Gambaccini's brief also said:

Paul made his innocence clear at the outset . . .

She's either taking the mickey or else this is her first criminal, or any, case.

The CPS stated: Baljit Ubhey, the Chief Crown Prosecutor of CPS London, said: "Having carefully reviewed this case, we have decided that there is insufficient evidence to prosecute."

This is a reference to this: http://www.cps.gov.uk/publications/code_for_crown_...

Other than you making things up, what actual evidence do you have this were not followed in this case and others?

That's code for 'we made idiots of ourselves with DLT, we don't want to do it again'.

1) DLT was convicted.

2) they followed their policy and the law to a tee.

3) Several people have had no further action taken against them prior to DLT, using the same wording around the same prosecution structure. Are these crystal ball / time machine ones?
