Aha. The link helps. Probably better in the DLT thread.

Acquitted on 12 counts, Jury couldn't reach verdicts on 2 others.

Not a surprise.

Starting to look like the CPS have been found out knee jerking to Saville. What's that you say? a celeb fondled you thirty years ago with no witnesses? Let's put that in court along with four others on the same day & we'll call it nonce super Tuesday. This will absolutely restore the reputation of everyone ever in the justice system.

Makes me (you?) wonder where this would have led had Saville still been alive and tried?

I doubt it. The CPS would struggle to justify spending any more taxpayers money on this.

So he loses his house paying legal bills and has no redress for that?

Someone says you goosed them in them 70's for sts and giggles, you defend yourself and you lose your house?

Terrific...

I said this in a thread months ago, the careers they've ruined for a knee jerk response is disgusting, it's clear most of these complaints are based on someone claiming a celebrity did something and no other proof and normally that would never get to court unless there's political interference.
IMHO all of the yewtree arrestees should never have been named before they were convicted, really anyone arrested for a life altering crime should be anonymous until conviction.

Won't his legal fees be paid (refunded) as he's not guilty?

Not unless he was awarded costs which is unlikely IIRC

Of course. Lawyers just love refunding money when someone proves them wrong.

I just cant get my head round this. He has a beard, therefore I was convinced he was guilty. The world has gone mad letting a beardy off.
