Sky news is reporting that Piers Morgan has been questioned by police over phone hacking.

It would be just awful if he was jailed.

not defending any of this BUT!

just how much time and money are we going to waste on this st?

if people are too stupid to set a password on their voicemail (or stupid enough to use a public voicemail service in the first place) then more fool them.

I am actually astounded to hear that Gordon Brown when PM was allowed to even have an unsecured mobile phone, I mean, what the ????

Do please give us all a list of which criminal acts you don't want to see properly investigated.

Might as well include those thefts where people are too stupid to lock their doors, too. That'll save some police resources.

Indeed interviewed under caution.

Will he go the no comment route one wonders. Considering previous comments already in public arena maybe not that wise.

you need to ask?

we already have a situation where the vast majority of crime is not investigated due to 'lack of resources' yet with a case like so called phone hacking, where the victims are predominantly celebrities having their sad sordid lives publicised sucking millions of pounds of police time, what do you consider the priority?

violent crime?
theft?
Abuse?
fraud?

or somebody's voicemail of their latest affair being published?

A false choice, we should place enough resources into investigating all crime, if the police find that their resources are constrained, then they need to either gain efficiency or wait for the public to notice and elect politicians who can improve resourcing.

I don't think Milly Dowlers parents would agree with your somewhat odd statements that "celebrities" sad sordid lives are the only victims.
They also hacked the phones of Royal Aides, Politicians, Civil Servants, Film Actors and indeed murder victims.

A seperate argument of course would be that these prosecutions and investigations are helping to uncover the primordial sewer that is Newspaper reporting. I good thing too and long overdue, the hypocrisy of the papers as been a problem for a good number of years, accountability for criminal acts in any walk of society is to be encouraged.

Hopefully every last penny and then every last penny the nation can borrow if it means Piers Morgan ends up behind bars.

Yes, good news. I well recall this piece of ste proclaiming to support "our boys" then trying to stitch them up first chance he gets. I laughed out load when it became news that he had stitched himself up and cost him his job.

I don't have much time for the press, but the politicians are scared of them , so its not all bad.

Its interesting to look on, and see how current laws are bringing people to book, viz: working for what they were intended.

So, no need for Leveson then. After all, this (Leveson) is all about Politicians silencing their critics, and fk all about press conduct.

Other than Milly Dowler, who else was a real 'victim'?

Frankly, the politicians and celebrities got a little more of what they normally seek out, just the bits they would rather keep secret.

As for Royal aides and civil servants, I can't think what they would keep secret that might be of any interest. Hardly 'victims'.

Personally, I'd accept a lawless UK for 24 hours if they diverted all resource towards jailing that t*rd-headed ar*e licking greasey f*ck knuckle gobsh*te.

I actually cant put into words how much I hate that man. He's a ladder climbing, witless sycophant who pollutes out media in every form.

I kept track of his GQ interviews for a long while - counting how many started with "I really hated Celebrity-X, but after spending this last few seconds with them, I've really grown to love them so hard I want to bum them stiff" (words to that effect)

Pointless scum. Jail is too good. Make him sign the Sex Offenders register, too.
