There's that small issue of the Geneva Convention which tends not to go for such things an anti-personnel mines, IED's, human shields and suicide bombers hehe

That said... yes I agree, an irregular war is probably the only way they stand a chance
Geneva what?

If the west aren't going to help, then either Ukraine fight and fight dirty or they may as well just welcome the Russians in with little as little fuss as possible.

There must be tartars with experience in ' fighting the dirty fight'

Fight the "other guys" happily ever after. Syria will probably get partitioned, Libya could have - so many examples.

They've posted in twitter that it's due to problems with their hoster http://status.mediatemple.net/

Sad because their coverage was good. Radio free Europe is a good alternative though:

Of course not - the Guardian says so in a comment piece! (It's the Guardian that's been running with the most virulent Russo-phobic articles for the past nine months).
Since you have problems reading and refuting any of the points in that article here it is in an easy to digest format:

Just to put another perspective on that; Morocco annexed Western Sahara in the 1980s, and despite UN this, that and the other, they're still occupying it and a large number of the indigenous population are living in exile in Algerian refugee camps. But they're dirt poor africans with no assets worth looting, and are much less adept at attracting popular support than the palestinians(despite having at least as good a legal and moral case) so no-one cares.

IN the Afghanies case, their nation is a big desert with no infrastructure similar to a Western nations.
I think the Ukraine would be a totally different scenario. Especially with the home knowledge already owned by Russia, and the loyalties of some locals.

If the US had been negative to Ukraine, and been best buddies with Putin, this episode would have looked different i.e. Russia has a duty to look after its people, the Kiev lot are nazi's, they overthrew their leader etc

Ukraine needs to be regarded as a sacrificial buffer zone between Russia and the West. Do NATO forces have a meaningful presence in Poland?

No... that will soon change though.

Might have to hurry up though if they want to catch Poland

Yes, their own army represents NATO quite well; it's about half the size of Russia's; they don't really need much help beyond someone to hold their coat and squeeze the squeezy drink bottle between rounds. I dare we could give them some air support though.

Seems to be plenty about it on the BBC; it's a bit partial in presentation and the analysis is pisspoor, but it's definitely getting screen time.
