Russia 'weaponising' refugee crisis to destabilise Europe, Nato commander claims
Perhaps General Breedlove should look a bit closer to home - if his own country and their jihadi sponsoring mates in the Gulf hadn't destabilised Syria to the extent they have then we wouldn't have a migrant crisis at the level we now do.

I don't think the US were involved at the beginning of the Syria crisis.
You just have to look back at the history of Assad & his father before him in how they treated the majority Sunni Arabs in Syria.
Go to Wikipedia.
Here's how the conflict started and it had nothing at all to do with Obama or the Gulf Arab countries, or Turkey, or the UK et al.
Now please spend a couple of minutes reading this article from one of the highest ranking officers who jumped ship from the Assad regime;
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/mar/01/from-...
I'm not a Guardian reader however I think this article may help you understand that the picture the Assad regime painted of the country before the outbreak of civil war was simply untrue and that he has rules with an iron fist, with emphasis on the iron.

The US was not involved? Who put Hafez Assad into power? You just have to look back at the history of Assad & his father before him in how they treated the majority Sunni Arabs in Syria.

It seems US General Welsey Clark might disagree with you about US involvement. Hey, what does he know.

Klitschko discussing Ukraine with an interviewer that actually challenges him. Ouch. Worse than a Jen Psaki presser.

Russia, Ukraine and/including Crimea were all part of the Soviet Union.
During WW2 there were fierce battles on the Crimean Peninsula. After the war Stalin killed nearly half the local population by deporting them to his labour camps. In 1954 Crimea was transferred within the Soviet Union from Russia to Ukraine motivated by "the commonality of the economy, the proximity, and close economic and cultural relations between the Crimean region and the Ukraine".
When Ukraine went independent in 1991 it therefore took the Crimea with it, Russian population and all.
No-one in the West is going to have a fight over Crimea - it's simply been Russian in reality for a very long time and is going to stay that way.
The question is simply how much more of Eastern Ukraine Putin is planning to "reclaim".
Given that UK feels entitled to a chunk of Argentina and a chunk of Spain because the local population is British it's not going to be easy making a case against Putin if he can show some sort of support from the locals. Watch this space.
Lots of countries including Russia, have and feel entitled to chunks of other countries, why is it wrong for the UK, but OK for other countries to have chunks of other countries?During WW2 there were fierce battles on the Crimean Peninsula. Looks like the meaningless show trial will be coming to an end:

Looks like he's the one with the phobia, as he forms Russia's version of Hitler's SS protection unit.

Indeed, but messing around with the Russian nuclear deterrent is not a wise move.Notice how this article fails to mention where exactly this took place. Odd that.

I think the Russian pilots may have watched topgun to often, or is that topgunski?

Does it really matter unless something DOES happen? The whole thing is a show of force and this is just showing force in a different way.
If anything does escalate, it's because either side are looking for an excuse for escalation to begin with.
The USA seems quite intent on wanting to rise to the most trivial things which is what worries me most.

Yes, it matters alot. People could end up, erm...dead?The USA seems quite intent on wanting to rise to the most trivial things which is what worries me most.
The USA is quite right to complain about irresponsible high speed manoeuvres right next to one of its aircraft in international airspace, as it is right to complain about multiple threatening passes to one of its ships in international waters.
The US is also right to be keeping an eye on Putin too.
