What you are basically saying is that more people decide what car to buy based on Top Gear compared to any other source of information, from What Car?, Auto Express and Parkers, forums such as this to personal recommendations from friends and family.... Sure if you are nine years old or the Sultan of Brunei they probably hold some degree of influence but back in the real world...
think you will find more people watch top gear than read what car etc worldwide.Edited by pablo on Friday 3rd October 19:30

I feel it was deliberate and if I'm honest; a fking disgrace.
No matter what the intent lots of people lost their lives in that war and to go over and gloat about it, no matter ho subtly is in very bad taste.
oh dear i bet you're one of those people who even likes the frenchNo matter what the intent lots of people lost their lives in that war and to go over and gloat about it, no matter ho subtly is in very bad taste.
I know Top Gear is known for doing these sorts of stunts. But I can't believe that the producers would go to that much effort to find a car with a plate like that.
I guess the only way we'll know is if the original owner comes forward. If it was already for sale then I would put it down as a massive coincidence. If someone knocked on his door offering him silly money for it then it could be a little more suspect.
The team should have moved to the Falklands and finished off the show there.

FFS its an entertainment show suffering in a world of politically correct liberal doo gooders.
TBH if you win at something every now and then you need to remind the losers that thay are losers.
I wonder how a British version of Gaucho would go down over there, tasty ribs of Angus roast beef washed down with lashings of Theakstons.TBH if you win at something every now and then you need to remind the losers that thay are losers.
They are sore losers aren't they.

That's not the point though, I watch top gear, I don't use it as a mechanism for buying a new car and neither do 99% of the viewers. The presenters are simply not the three most influential motoring journalists on the planet as was suggested!...
Ok then, name me three other Journalists that have more influence in the motoring world.KTF said:
Remember, everything you see on topgear is staged, even the publicity.
The backstory is almost irrelevant, look how much attention they got for the upcoming series yesterday/today.
Plus there is now a nice 'hook' to get people to watch as they want to see the natives kicking off, etc.

Funny how it happens at the lead up to every new season...
