No! No, I won't have that! The word is 'leftard'

If only you could capitalise the countries which you claim to respect.

So is showing guests in your country some respect. Sounds like most of the Argies did so, apart from a (government organised?) mob.

Shame that the argentine Olympic athlete insulted the falkland islanders by videoing himself warming up on the war memorial at Stanley. An act and video deliberately done as provocation and insult.

But it's oh so different when the Argentinians feel insulted by merely a number plate ...

Suddenly it's a national incident

Bunch of hypocrites ..

I wonder what might have happened to the Argentine athlete had the locals found out what he was up to?

Are Argentinians welcomed in the Falklands?

Worth noting that the Junta was responsible for the deaths of around 20000 Argentine left wingers, so in PH terms they weren't all bad.

I guess that pretty much removes any last doubts as to whether or not the "1982 Falklands" plate was just an unfortunate coincidence.

I lived in the FI for about 18 months in the 1980s - there may have been just one or 2 there : hardly any. The islanders are ( were) virtually all of British descent with maybe a handful of chileno's - and an influx of sheep shearers from Oz and NZ at times..

I dont think the thug-like gang of Argentinians seen in Ushuaia threatening Clarkson and vandalizing his car would be welcome..after all the Falkland Islanders were invaded by a military dictatorship.... would you want them ( literally ) stting on your front lawn ?

edit: while I was there I never heard the locals say that much at all about Argentina .. I think they were just trying to put their lives back to normal after the war .. never heard any hatred expressed ...

No, no, no, they would never use numberplates to make a joke.

I'm quite surprised that some Argie hasn't taken BE11 END as relating to the END of the BE11GRANO...

End of the article mentions that they were to be used in a 'car football' game, so something along those lines.

I see the argies are attempting a criminal prosecution for false plates, which since the ones not on the car weren't used, then I assume it is against the H1 VAC plates therefore they are bringing a case against the producers for trying to avoid causing issues!
