UKIP - The Future - Volume 2
Discussion
"High levels of immigration will undermine living standards by putting huge pressure on schools, housing, hospitals and water supplies in the UK, an economist warns in in a report published today.
The economic gains of large-scale migration to the UK will be outweighed by the need to build more homes and improve transport facilities to cater for population growth fuelled by newcomers and their children."
Report from Rob Rowthorn, Cambridge economist.

I genuinely love the fact that you're quoting a Marxist. That's made my day, it really has.The economic gains of large-scale migration to the UK will be outweighed by the need to build more homes and improve transport facilities to cater for population growth fuelled by newcomers and their children."

What a downer having to improve infrastructure eh? Damn immigrants!
that kind of depends on your definition of improve?expanding <> improving.
A few weeks ago I ended up in the local lidl, a few of the normal east Europeans the are always in these places were pushing elderly relatives around in new wheel chairs,
I just wonder how the system will cope with an influx of elderly people ? One of the arguments about immigration has been that the are usually young and fit, but if they are bringing their elderly parents I really think the healthcare system will not survive in its present form.

It shows how poorly thoughT through their strategy has been in the last 18 months, when some of us suggested that the referendum be brought forward as a sound tactical decision, we were told the coalition had to be protected at all costs and yet it is increasingly apparent Clegg does not feel the same way!Nick Clegg: Cameron has ditched his immigration target
Seeing as many (most?) predictions seem to agree that the most likely outcome of 2015GE is no one having an overall majority, just who would seriously consider going into a coalition with the LibDems?
