Well it was not me which maes a nice change. I believe that any change in the creosote soup that modern politics has become where fumble and stumble are the bedfellows of modern politicians must be for the good. What we do not need is more of the table tennis approach that UK politics has become with no real attack or effective direction from our politicians who simply take as much personal advantage as they can from their time in office. I am hopeful UKIP can provide that welcome change. Not long to wait for a result now!

CMD had a mighty p155ed off face as he turned up at conference tonight. Looked like he could punch someone.

Prediction.

Day Tory Conference comes to a close... Hannan crosses to UKIP.

Now THAT will be a nightmare for Cameron!
I doubt he will, plus he has already written on the subject saying why he wouldn't. I quite like him and what he says, but he does have an air of knowing that the Tories offer long term employment , rather than chancing his arm with what might be a short lived Ukip adventure.
Short lived? The train has been rolling for some years now and, so far, nothing is stopping it. I recall some saying after the Euro elections 'that's it', you won't hear much more now. ...well?

People are fed up to the teeth with mainstream politics and Farage/Ukip 'might' turn out to be the same, but the people will give them the benefit of the doubt. Wait and see.

The way things are panning out at the moment UKIP will likely have one, two, possibly even three MPs before the General Election.

Much the same thoughts as myself. I'm generally quite pragmatic and sensible, but in the case of Westminster politics, I really do feel they just need a kick up the arse and someone to cause a fuss. Farage in opposition at PMQ's would be a joy to behold.

Nothing connected with UKIP but Brooks Newmark MP Braintree (Cons) stepping down. Internet scandal apparently. Flashed a male reporter online who was posing as some young Tory female supporter. Entrapment.

So another gone and a minister to boot. Bit silly of him really. Neither side has any honour in this.

Cameron must be getting seriously peed off now.

From 1922 committee meeting said:
The next question asked what the PM wanted to renegotiate before his vaunted EU referendum. An answer, came there none.
Much like the complete absence of answers to a similar style of question repeatedly asked on this thread.

Most of the project EU-ers saying it must reform are complete empty pots rattling around.

If his own MPs think that the PM is not serious about EU renegotiation then why should the electorate believe him?

I just don't understand why the Tory party won't lance
The boil that is the EU ??? It will keep coming back again and again to split the party until they offer the electors a proper say via a referendum , if this settled one way or the other my guess it would lead to a much more settled and unified party and country..

I'd hate to be a senior Tory reading that article.

He proves that many of us were absolutely correct when we said that Cameron had no intentio of re-negotiating our terms of membership of the EU.

There is no "line in the sand". There never was any line in the sand. Under Cameron, there never will be a line in the sand.

I'm beginning to wonder if Cameron will be leading the Tories into the next election.

Can you share some dits on any other Conservative MPs you don't much like? Just in case like...
I find it quite amusing, jumping on the occasion of anyone from UKIP dropping an unguarded silent but deadly, all the time hiding the skeletons in the Tory closets.

Hypocrite.
So sensitive.

I happen to have been acquainted with this man. He is an odious character.

His defection and its manner change nothing in that respect.
