Pcvdriver, with McWiggle's (out of shot) teeth clamped firmly to his testicles on September 19th.
eharding - needing to try harder..... you used a clip not from "On the buses", as shown by the actor that played Blakey wearing a "Security" cap, and not an Inspectors' one....

Anybody want to come to my house on September 18th to watch the coverage?

I'm sure it'll be fun for some of us...

So no one commenting re UK fighters scrambled as Eussian planes and bombers were courting our boarders specifically the Scottish ones.

Pretty important to a country which thinks you don't need defence.

I have to say, that is *top* notch bus-related OCD you've got there. Presumably the still is from that film where Blakey found his dream job of running security at an internment camp?

There again, Scotland IS a country in its own right - The Sarf-East isn't...... even though they have more than enough people to fill one.......but perhaps too many to be crammed into such a postage stamp sized piece of real estate.
Scotland isn't a real country either. Its just a modern region that blurs the borders of the true kingdoms.

Well, hopefully tomorrow I'll be signing the paperwork on a contract that'll make it much easier for me to move away if the time comes.

I hope it doesn't come to that.

I think you'll find it is....

the first King of Scots was Kenneth MacAlpin (Cináed mac Ailpín), who founded the state in 843.

The English lands were unified in the 10th century in a reconquest completed by King Athelstan in 927.

So not only is Scotland a country in it's own right, it became a state before England existed.

If you're going to quote me...at least add the context too...

So I simply corrected him, it wasn't intended to be a pissing contest....and whilst you are indeed correct that Scotland ceased to exist as a state in 1707, so did England, when both countries merged. Independence is simply a demerging of our Nation States.

The trouble is many in Scotland remember all too well the good old days back in 1706 when everything was much better. So its understandable that they want to go back to the 18th century and turn their backs on this modern global economy we live and prosper in.

Nail on head. Scotland may have been a country in the past but then so were the Kingdoms of East Anglia, Essex, Kent, Mercia, Northumbria, Sussex and Wessex. All are now just regions of the UK - same as Scotland.

My point was together we are stronger not perfect but stronger. Seperate there will always
Be a weaker partner (according to evening standard today londons gdp is greater than twice gdp of scotland and wales combined) and in the event of a yes vote negociations will favour the stronger party.

why do some find that hard to understand. Scotland are being sold a lie example "14th richest nation in the world" versus being the sixth (except the posters don't tell you curently we are 6th). Its really ok to be independant (sorry wiggly) all the best to scotland if they choose that, but please understand what you are loosing and make sure the so called
Gains are true.
I'm not against independence

I'm against their vision of independence

i'm against the constant lies and bullst coming from the yeSNP

Give me a deeply right wing, liberal non bullst version of Scotland and i'd happily vote yes

.....and by that I take it you mean a UKIP Utopian Scotland?.... But, for that to happen, first UKIP will need to pass the milestone of retaining one single deposit, just one, Then advancing from there. As yet, they have miserably failed to even get one deposit returned to them.....

Whats that got to do with present day English people? Also the film has little to do with historical reality , so really, what has it got to do with anything?

PS: Couldn't tell if you're being sarcastic smile
