Basically: Vote yes or we will spend the rest of eternity blaming you no voters for every percieved "wrong" decree from Westminster.
What a fking .

So anything that I disagree with after a yes vote, I can blame it on yes voters? Fack off.

Totally irresponsible publication and totally devoid of any democratic maturity. It was very threatening in tone too, suggesting that no voters will want to remain anonymous - how ominous.

Disgusting piece of writing. Whether you're yes, no or in between.
The more I think about this article the more objectionable I find it. There has been a lot written by the No side asking vopters to take a long, hard, realistic look at the outcome of a yes vote. Basically asking for a bit of rational thought and objective questions about the deliverability and liklihood some of Alex's promises. They have usually been dismissed as scaremongering - you would think if they can be so easily batted off it would be more constructive of the Yes campaign to actually address them.

However, in all the output from the No side, I am pretty certain that nowhere have I seen an article suggesting that the Yes voters should live in fear if they get their independence and as a result destroy the economy and future of those of us voting no. That would be the only true peice of "scaremongering" in the whole debate and I'm sure the resident loon in Bath would be all over it to show how hateful the No campaign is. Yet here we have an article doing precisely that. Thinly(or not so thinly) veiled threats of "we'll get you if you vote no". Yet they still insist they are the bullied victims.

s, all of them.

I realise this last sentence could be construed as "internet bullying", but in this case they have thouroughly earned the title.

Scotland is already being punished; contracts being lost, investment on hold - and a lot of English, Welsh and N. Irish who're sick of hearing how we're the Evil Doom-mongering Oppressors who've mercilessly stripped Scotland of assets and revenue.

In the event of a yes vote, they'll be crucified as rUK turns its back entirely. As I've said before, it's a one-way exit door and we will give no quarter when it comes to rUK's interests vs. Scotland's. The whole charade has created some very deep rifts and a lot of ill-will and to tell people otherwise is yet another outright lie from the SNP.

Trust me, we're pissed.

Its rubbish article filled with hate writtern by a moron. But just to help said moron understand how polotics work, not everything every party in power does pleases me but its not my fault its called democracy, and your not voting for cuts your voting for an existing central goverment which you are happy with or you vote for someone else. Ergo same party ois not in power for ever and thus what happens is not always down to the way you voted. If you do get a yes vote good luck inpaying for your socilaist dream.

a very strange article indeed. Does he honestly think scotland will be some kind of utopia with independence? i hope they get it so in his fictional 2016 dinner parties he can try and explain how none of the great sweeping welfare/healthcare or economic changes happened.
even with independence the next 50years of scottish governments will be telling the electorate that they are still 'getting over' the union. Just as every successive UK government spends it whole time blaming the previous one.

What they don't seem to realise is that post independence Scotland would be a foreign country. Not some big enemy, but not part of the UK. So that does mean no shared currency, no EU membership through the UK, no shipbuilding contracts in preference to other countries... just no special treatment of which, at the moment, there is a lot.

If they think of it in terms of 'can we rely on getting this from Germany or France?' If the answer is No then they shouldn't think that they will get it from the UK either.

have you tried following the "sources". it takes you to an Excel spreadsheet on Stuies own website, which contains a lot of links to an archive site that are unavailable because they are through a paywall(on some North American parliament archive site?)... This despite him claiming his original source is the NLS, which is actually free to access.

Only 20 years, but anyway can you post a copy of the sources? I'm sure you've checked them out.

So what's your point? That Scotland contributes to the UK economy and exchequer?

That doesn't mean that London is a leech. What are the figures for London - whose GDP is roughly 300% of Scotland's with 200% of the population, IIRC.

In any case, 1900 is as irrelevant as 1997 and 1997 BC.

We want to know about Scotland's future...

Have you tried following the links to his sources? They do not go anywhere other than his own website.
